Afrihost CAPPED ADSL Feedback (MTN)

For the first time in 3 weeks things are running as per normal
I was told to test another router which I still need to do.
I cant understand that for the past 3 weeks my service has been beyond cr#p and today its back to normal??????????????
Lets hope it lasts longer than a day.

Boggles the mind.

I'm not aware of any major changes that have happened, but I know that the network team are continuously working to improve user experience. Let's hope you guys continue to have an awesome experience :)

With all due respect but that is the normal response we get.

If my speeds or quality go for a ball of sh#t I will have no option but to cancel all accounts with you.
 
Afrihost, your ClientZone is giving me nothing but issues this morning. Its erratic, sometimes it takes me to the old client zone, settle account shows an invalid link error.
 
was there a problem yesterday in or around the northern suburbs (JHB) ? tried to finish my cap yesterday and queued quite a bit of stuff only to get an ave of 100kbps on a 4mb line.

tried another isp and got full speed ... lost about 20gb due to the new month starting :( eventually switched it to the other isp around 11pm

Is it normal for Afrihost to disconnect me when my capped account is capped?

My account got capped on Saturday night and I couldn't even log into the client zone to top it up, I had zero internet. I logged into my router and although my DSL was up and syncing, I wasn't connected to any ISP. I had to log into my backup WA account, then log into Afrihost clientzone to top up data, and finally change over back to Afrihost.

All my other accounts still let you log into the client/customer zones to at least top up.

Hmmm ... apparently ClientZone is stating that I have two current active connections, both from the same (my) telephone number, both having a different IP address...

This can happen from time to time, when the connection is dropped the ClientZone needs to read the connection logs and clear the old connection.
It'll update shortly, nothing to worry about :)

Thanks ... still showing 2 connections this morning by the way. Does the modem need a power cycle?

Quick question, if you top up via SMS, and you select 1GB, do you get 1GB or 2GB? And is it charged the same as the website top-up?

When you topped up, did you get billed for 2GB or only 1GB?
