Panic - I selected the 60Gig package and it reports
"Success - Your package has been succesfully changed to 30GB Capped DSL Data"
That is not success that is a fail...............
Help, how do I reverse it?
That is not what I wanted, I wanted 60+60 so selected the 60 package with the intention of then adding PLUS+ to bring it up to 120 Total.
The Package I was, on 120+120, is not listed in the client Zone so I can not revert back.
That Client zone is very misleading I was expecting to select an amount and have it doubled, not halved.
Can you manually revert it on your end or even better set it to 60+60 rather than 30+30?
Making any further changes is going to mess with the payment, as our system will then process a pro-rata upgrade and charge you immediately.
I would recommend leaving it exactly as it is now, then, on the 1st of December, just switch to your intended package and our system will allocate the additional data automatically.
Thanks, but the Client zone is not showing my intended package (though I thought it was) and is not showing my existing package so I can't take it back to what it was.
Weird.
Keep us posted though, if you come across a stream that isn't so great paste the link here and we can get it checked out.
I really feel for you guys. I think when the idea was originally thought up, everyone figured this would permanently cement AH as the ISP leaders and everyone was popping champagne already. The backlash on the article and here in the forums is crazy and I see ISPs are using this calamity to try switch users.
Oh and btw in an attempt to use up my remaining 150gb these last few days before the switch. I have been running fairly well, but when I attempt to play games and use teamspeak I have still been experiencing some packet loss. So there is a marked improvement, keep it up!
Am also in CPT and having same issues.Anyone else in Cape Town having problems with live streaming tonight?
Keeps buffering all the time, I changed ISP it was too annoying.
It's been fine since Sunday but now all gone to pot again......
Double Data of either ADSL or Mobile Data guaranteed whether or not our Double Data promotions end on the 31st of December (we're desperately trying to keep them going, but there is a good chance we may have to end the promotions.....
I notice a lot of talk about the double data being cancelled and afrihost reps say no. If you read Gian email he says in there that although it has not been finalised it doesn't look good for double data.

I've been streaming Twitch (high) and YouTube (1080p) this evening (6Mbit line).
Can do source on Twitch (http://www.twitch.tv/dotastarladder_en) with a little bit of buffering. The thing is that it really shouldn't be buffering though... The bandwidth maxes out at 3300kbps. YouTube goes all the way up to ~5200kbps for me. Meh, guess you can't have it all. It's 1000x better than what it's been the last two months so I'm happy for now ^^
