Afrihost drops 10Mbps uncapped ADSL pricing

Sounds like you're on a better wicket with the capped product, because you get unshaped data as and when you want it!
yip... i also think so... of course i've been eyeing these uncapped products recently... but for me capped is still better value on my usage.... i dont have enough time for unlimited online gaming, or needs for torrentz downloads.
so can rather have lower fixed monthly cost with capped, and IF i need more, i just add a few extra gigs... still get some free with FNB also

I think it used to be, if usage is less than about 13-15Gb per month, then capped is better value, now, with the lower uncapped pricing, if usage is about 20Gbs... so not there yet
I do quite a bit of VPN work to the office at nite as well, so i appreciate the full 4meg speed, especially with wife and kids on youtube and face book at same time :)

can anyone confirm speeds of NZB'S on Afrihost?

Thinking about canceling my mweb account.

1 MB/s most of the time, though I don't go over 200GB much.

So how does Afrihost shape on 10 meg uncapped?

It doesnt matter how cheap it is. If your 4mb uncapped only runs at a maximum of 200k/s, its a crap product. I've heard every excuse under the sun from them, and yet the moment I switch to my mweb 4mb uncapped, im back to 430k/s

sorry afrihost, you still need to learn a LOT from mweb

dont.. i've never got even close to 400k/s on any download (nzb or otherwise). nzbs tend to trickle in at around ~150k/sec on a 4mb uncapped. on mweb they go 403k/sec day and night

Currently downloading (nntp) at 420KBps on a 4mbps afrihost account. I do around 5GB a day and use an international usenet provider.

Full 3Mbps - but on a 10Mbps uncapped trial (with a k@k 3Mpbs line). No complaints from me as far as nzbz go. (on Astraweb) Will prob switch too 4Mpbs uncapped.

Now downloading NZB @ 270Kb with MWEB only at night I get full speed .My Afrihost account its full speed 24/7

I'm still going to stay with My mweb 10MB uncapped; very very happy with the speeds I've been getting; For R200 it's not really worth moving for me.

Had no problems on MWEB 1 meg with nzbz- also using astraweb. Problem is that I have run out of stuff to download- just don't have the time to watch it. Thinking about the 2meg but not sure if I will be able to use it as already a 1meg is enough
