Afrihost drops 10Mbps uncapped ADSL pricing

Ooh .. this is going to make MWEB with their 'we feel that you are getting enough value for money on those accounts already blah blah etc' just look greedy.

Bye bye Mweb, you've been good to me but R297 for a 2meg compared to R369... Hmmm, cancellation going in as soon as I get home!!!

Great stuff that the new 2Mbps is going to be same price as the current 1Mbps product; just a case of simply upgrading, with no extra cost.

Thank you AfriHost for being so awesome!!!

All the "Bye Bye MWEB, hello Afrihost" comments make me laugh.
You do all realise that Afrihost is/has left IS for MTN Business?

[-]So you're technically still going to be on MWEB at the end of the day...[/-]

Edit: Thanks for the brainfail alert guys - have corrected it to MTN.

So?!?!? its R150 cheaper, couldn't give a flying toss what backbone it's on...

MTNNS does not equal MWeb. Afrihost has announced a deal invovling MTN providing them with service.

If thats true then its even a bigger slap in their customers faces. AH clients getting Mweb bandwidth cheaper than Mweb clients! :)

i honestly prefer mwebs throttling/shaping methods to that of afrihost

Wrong. They'll be moving to MTN Business.

Afrihost has also introduced a new 2Mbps uncapped ADSL product, priced at R297 per month.
This I assume is ISP only cost. What will the price of the new 2Mb ISP line bundled offer be?

Telkom will start upgrading its “Up to 1024kbps” ADSL users to “Up 2048kbps” from 24 August 2012, and will start upgrading its 384kbps ADSL users to 1Mbps from 1 October 2012.
Telkom shop posters say commence Sept 2012. I just hope mine is start and not end Sept.
