Gian, thanks for the three months free offer but we can't afford any more service interruption. Got a business to run ...

Gian, could I have my money back for the time period that I've been adversely affected, and for the rest of November, so that I can cancel my Afrihost account tomorrow and move to Openweb?
OK there's some weird stuff going on here, I'm on a 6Mb line and these results come from my axxess 2Mb uncapped account.
here's some MyBB speed tests:
Speedtest.net:

(Ping: 130ms Down: 1.96Mbps Up: 0.47Mbps)
and ... torrent speed:

Weird huh![]()
Got cry tears in ur own thread ... This is our one ..Look at you lot complaining! The grass is certainly not greener on the other side.
On MWEB 2MB Uncapped and since 12-09-2012 my line has been too slow to even do a speed test... Had to refresh this page 3 times before I could submit my comment..![]()

we do know this: We are currently delivering 38.27% more GBs on average every day to our clients on the new network than we were a month ago.
I dont use afrihost and dont plan to but will keep them in mind since seeing the CEO himself is trying to help customers and directing them to where they can get sorted.
All you cry babies need to grow a pair....seriously life isn't always roses and honey sometimes theres lemons in every company and its not that "you have problems" its about how dedicated you are to sorting out those problems that matters.
I would stick with any company that shows initiative...if I were on afrihost right now and irritated by my connection I would pm or call em to get it sorted out instead of squealing like a little girl on a public forum about it.
If afrihost did not admit and try to help then I would be pissed but as it stands now I would be glad to use them as an ISP in the future.
I used to have webafrica in the past and stuck with them for that same reason, when there was a problem they would admit it and sort it out even if it took a week.I can respect a company like that.
It is easy to talk if you are not on the receiving end. I can feel the pain of the people here. Trust me, it is not fun to get dial up speeds on a 4mbps uncapped line. Personally, I am with Openweb and are very pleased with them. I think they have had loads of signups these past days.
Not all the issues are Afrihost's fault, bear in mind the 384k to 1MB upgrades in the last few weeks may cause issues with exchanges becoming more congested.
