The same business decision where you charged clients for services you knowingly were unable to provide?
The same business decision where you strung clients along for months charging them full price while you tried to fix your network issues blaming client equipment/Telkom/etc?
The same business decision to keep sending spam emails after having requested numerous times to be removed from your systems? (Only resolved by logging a complaint with the ISPA who found you guilty https://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/775330-Afrihost-ISPA-ruling-upheld)

Can you see why we don't believe your PR spins?

I get that you feel upset, but we're moving forward and we're looking at ways to improve. It would be great if we could all move forward together and let go of the past :(

If i wanted 200ms, i would of kept with my adsl, it has less issues.

I gave you the tracert, and i even gave you the hop that is giving the issues.

Get it fixed, and stop making excuses, thanks. Im not some idiot who doesnt understand these things and you can give the round about.

Really not trying to make excuses, we are trying to get a complete view of the issue so that we know where to look. It might be that an open forum is not the best place with other comments interrupting the conversation. Can you please send me your details over PM and I will get one of the team to troubleshoot with you?

Didnt mean to get rude, just very frustrated with all of this.

Ill PM you my email, but im not sure what more i can give you guys. My line is perfect, it clearly isnt any setting or what not on my router or ONT, because they are exactly how they have been for a month, along with the pings to Blizzard being 174ms(Good).

Using the router provided by you guys(very good router btw), and everything is on auto. Other Fibre users in my complex, with other ISPS, are fine. Hell, they get 10ms LOWER than afrihost to all of EU.

I have a mate in the complex, who even states he was using Afrihost before, and these sorts of issues would happen, and never get resolved in a timely manner, hence why he changed ISPs.

Hey man. How long have you been on afrihost ? Are these pings normal for you ? I got afrihost about a month ago, and ive had 174ms to pretty much all of EU. Only in the last 2 days has it been 195-200ms.

Have you seen any change with your speeds?

Hi Afrigenie...please help

I have a fibre line 20/10 capped and live in bloemfontein using openserve.
I play some online games and usually my pings are about 30ms but of late my pings have increased ranging from 60ms to 120ms and thats playing local. I cannot tell you how frustrating it is. Is there anything that can be done from afrihost to improve the current pings i am getting?.

Regards,

Regards,

120ms for local is definitely not cool.

Can you please run a traceroute and let's see where the latency originates? :(

Anyone running at 200Mbps via AH/Openserve ? I thought their best is 100/50. See Mweb is running a promo at the higher speed, which is strange...

/update
Saw the post over here

So the question is.. when on AH ?

We might be in the process of structuring a package for this. At the moment we don't offer 200Mbps but I am sure we will soon :)
