Afrihost Mobile Feedback

once again we have no data and it says 13mb remaining *sigh*

please can you guys fix this bug already its been every month for 6 months

Could you please try turning your cellular data off for about 15 minutes and then turning it on again to reconnect to the APN?
 
Is there something up with Mobile? I've doubled checked my APN settings and I still have 100mb remaining but no connectivity. The only page I can access is support.afrihost.com/ip which says I'm on the Afrihost network.

It's been a bug at AH since forever (see the very post above yours).
If it's a Sunday night and a reset doesn't resolve it you'll need to top up.

Afripeeps, any idea when the Redmii 4a will be back in stock?
Other question is about VoLTE, is it live on the MTN network and if it is what do we need to do to activate it?

I'll need to confirm with our Team, but if your sim card is provisioned for LTE you should be good to go!
 
If that happens again, please let me know! I'll be able to look into it from my side.
Doesn't really help on weekend evening when no support is available / most reps aren't online. Not sure why this hasn't been fixed years ago tbh.
 
I purchased a phone through Afrihost to take advantage of the free 1Gig Data package. This was the middle of March.

I received my phone on 2 April 2017 with the AH supplied starter pack...

This SIM is still awaiting Activation......??????

I have done everything as instructed in the start pack supplied by AH, got my number, provisioned it for AH to take over the number, loaded airtime and data, so the SIM does work. The SIM is still in the phone, Dual SIM model, but AH still shows "Awaiting Activation" in the clientzone.

I've logged numerous calls, given detailed reports what and when and how, etc. I am wits end and beginning AH are not interested in offering this package. Had I known all this frustration, I would have forsaken this offer and 2 weeks waiting for the phone and just gotten it from my local Makro for the same price.

I am still waiting for anybody to give me feedback from AH who said they would contact me back.....

My last call logged, I get a guy asking me after all the above to insert the card into the phone and wait for the network to provide me with a mobile number and he will automatically pick it up.........!!!????!!????

AH, your after sales service sucks!!!

Hey there pinkscorpio68. I'm sorry to hear about your poor experience with regards to getting your SIM activated. The process really shouldn't take this long unless there was a problem with the RICA process. I'd love to take a look into your issue and offer my assistance. Please feel free to PM more you account info and we'll take it from there. :)
 
@afrigenie or any afrihost person, I can once again no longer access the Afrihost APN and I still have 157mb remaining.

Edit: Seems to be working again.

On 24 May 2017, Afrihost cut my Mobile internet connection and has not reinstated it, and today is 31 May 2017- a full 7 days.

On the 24th, I still had under 0.5GB left and it reflects as such when logged into: clientzone.afrihost.com

This is downright nonsense. And let me guess, you will continue to do this, it might be worse next time.

Take note of this. It's 31 May 2017, and that's a full 7 days of no service from Afrihost despite there being enough data to connect.

And I know what is going to happen now, someone from Afrihost in this thread will say:
"Can you PM your account details, I'll have a look into it" and/or "This is unacceptable, we'll get it fixed, blah blah blah" - Only that the last time I got such a reply, they never responded in a timely fashion, and when they did it was even about helping with the issue at hand.

What happened with the service???

What do you mean by cut your service? Did we suspend your product? Or did it just stop working?

If you PM me your details I can probably have it up and running in the next 20 minutes. :)
