The APN data won't work on a prepaid SIM I'm afraid

I am currently on CellC prepaid with one of their Giga packages, but am planning to switch to MTN + Afrihost in March.

Do I have to be on contract with MTN to use Afrihost data?

In order to use the APN on your device you need to be an existing MTN contract subscriber.

While I do appreciate the news, I was kinda hoping it would get a bit cheaper. Was hoping to ditch iBurst as my home connection and replacing it with Afrihost. Any chance we might see a 20gb Package for R200 in the near future? Even if it's like a 10 + 10 (10gb anytime and 10gb nightsurfer type of thing)

MTN had uncapped, although speeds were limited after a threshold was reached.

Our neighbours to the north-west of us (Namibia) has had uncapped 3G for quite a few years now at only double the price of your Mobile Ten packages.
