People was hoping, there was never an indication of it to be so from Afrihost and we were suppose to only get our stuff after 1 Sept.

Yeah, makes sense. I was still hoping though. :D
(And I pm'd Afrigirl, she confirmed that the next 5GB we get will be on October 1st.)

Seeing some awesome speeds posted here. Would love to see the top speed recorded so far. I think Gian posted 18Mbps driving around Joburg, probably found a tower all to himself somewhere.

If anyone can beat that, I'd love to see it :)

Yes, next data allocation will be on 1 October.

Remember that were only meant to deliver in September and we only billed once until 1 October. When we decided to deliver early, we extended everyone's data to include August as well.

From 1 October though, everyone will get the full 5GB every month and be billed accordingly.
 
I did get over 13Mb/s download speed the first time I ran the speed test (with 70ms PING). I didn't get a screen grab though, so people may argue if there isn't a photo it didn't happen! :(

The 2nd time I got this result.

I think I could get used to this:)

Signal strength 4 green bars on MiFi device/5 blue bars on GUI. The UPLOAD speed is faster than my fixed line ADSL DOWNLOAD speed (2Mb/s line)!

:( must be. I was really looking forward to this, data at great prices but with the speed I'm getting it is just frustrating. Currently I'm using 8ta and the speeds are really great, way faster than my Afrihost and according to 8ta I'm on the edge of the reception.

It shows 3g but the speed is cr@p. :cry:
