So seeing as RPM doesn't allow us to post our negative feedback in the AfriHost feedback thread anymore, this will have to do I guess. I'll point out that this is not a courtesy that was extended to MWeb, OpenWeb or WebAfrica, all three of whose forum reps regularly took/still take a beating from forum members.

So, about those Youtube streaming issues?

Do we actually need a thread for this? Afrihost threads exist already....why not post on those?

And in the Interest of equality, are you going to create one for each ISP?

Still crying?

As a fellow MyBB member (not even as a mod) I would advise you to not go down this path. It is a destructive one and there can only be one loser... and that will be you.

How come? RPM told me I'm welcome to create a separate thread for grievances with AfriHost.

On another note, is it fair that people are now still allowed to attack me in that thread where I'm not allowed to respond anymore?

RPM told me I'm not longer allowed to post there. I found it a little odd considering the same wasn't done when other ISPs were being dogpiled by forum members, but who am I to argue with RPM.

Still crying?

Lol, not as hard as the AfriFans. Apparently you guys want a safe space in that thread.

ITT: Crystal Web fanbois

How about them R2/GB. Stay mad.

Why not just start a thread when you have a specific issue?

is it fair that people are now still allowed to attack me in that thread

You know what would appease and silence the numerous unhappy AH (ex)clients?

A simple "yes, we messed up. we oversubscribed, throttled when we said we wouldn't and wasted people's time stalling with endless tests while taking their money knowing full well what the issues were and that we could not deliver the service we were charging for"

After a proper apology we can start building trust and confidence again.

oh, and for Gian to stop spamming even though I have unsubscribed numerous times would be nice too.

Go away, this thread is for AfriHost negative feedback. You've got your safe space back in the other thread.

Safe space? My only safe space is within my community, only they understand my pain. You will never understand it.

This. When a forum is moderated and controlled to the point where forumites can't raise their opinions or valid concerns for fear of bannefication, the forum (and probably the site if these actions are commercially inspired) is on it's way out.

Remember when myBroadband forums were about members experience with their broadband?

I checked my privilege. It's better than yours. Sucks to be you.

THIS. So much this.

That's all I ask for- that the issue be acknowledged and to hear that a solution is being worked on. With how many people can't use streaming services properly why are we still being asked to do traceroutes every day? Yes, AfriHost's R1 promo is probably the culprit and these things happen, but why are the forum reps still pussy-footing around the issue when every night like clockwork the streaming issues start up again? Which is not even getting started on the network downtimes that some of us have been experiencing every so often.

Instead of acknowledging or addressing these problems the forum reps would rather run away and run to RPM with complaints to get people barred from posting in their threads. How am I supposed to trust an ISP that refuses to acknowledge an issue and then responds like that when pushed on the matter? Their prices are great hence why we went with them, but how is it acceptable to struggle for weeks with poor streaming quality and then they don't even acknowledge that it's a problem on their network?
