8.8.8.8 is working again.

Please let us know what happened which caused the DNS to stop working on Afrihost.

What ive noticed it that no matter how many people bitch and complain they never switch to a new ISP...wonder why...

Because most of us have several ISP's, we "bitch and complain" when one ISP is playing up and the others are running fine, as that is showing that the fault is with that particular ISP. We are also more likely to bitch about the ISP we prefer to use on a daily basis, as it is a pain to have to switch between ISP in order to get things done.

No it isnt.

Yes, it is. It's not complicated, there's no reason why it shouldn't just work.

Hell, I'm getting enterprise connectivity, because there ISN'T a single ISP in this darn country that doesn't have issues, in some form, way, or fashion. Sick and tired of it. Even my 5 year old, is complaining and moaning because of Afrihost...

You know, although I can get twice the amount of data from Vox for the same price I am paying at Afrihost.

Out of loyalty and principle - I cant bring myself to change XD

3 Companies I am loyal to: Hetzner, Afrihost, Wootware.

Cannot connect to PlayStation Network using afrihost account
Changed to webafrica account and no problem connecting
Please check what's wrong...

There were some problems with google DNS (8.8.8.8) which caused pages not to load. Easily fixed by changing to Afrihost DNS servers. :)

I'm on Google DNS and didn't have that issue, but I have 8.8.4.4 as secondary, that's why there's a secondary DNS.

8.8.8.8 is working again.

Please let us know what happened which caused the DNS to stop working on Afrihost.

The 8.8.8.8 servers had blacklisted our IP-range, so any of our Clients using those DNS Servers wouldn't have gotten a response.

What sort of package do you have with us? :) Can you get more Data from Vox even with our Double Data?

What type of Afrihost Account do you have? Which DNS Servers are you using?

Thanks for the update Afrihost!

I'm assuming by 8.8.8.8 working again, the blacklist has been removed and we can use it again?
