Our Team is looking into the Facebook issue as we speak for the moment it appears to be only be affecting Clients in the South.

With regards to the latency issues to the EU, we are making some progress on that, but it's definitely been a tricky one. :(

I know it isn't just me as I've had friends call to ask their "more technically inclined" friend if facebook looks weird :p

I don't have the exact number of Clients that are affected but it doesn't appear to be all of our DSL Clients in the South but there are a significant enough amount that we are working to resolve this as quickly as possible.

The mentality of AfriHost is beyond something which I will ever understand... Seriously.
 
I'm on holiday in Cape Town and FB images not loading is affecting me aswell, not only AH, Axxess aswell, but I guess Axxess clients don't like complaining like AH ones do which explains why Axxess thread is always quiet.

Using my WA account now, images are loading fine.

I changed my mother from Telkom to AH/Axxess, but after 2 days she not happy, FB her life, so think we will go with WA thanks.

Hey Afrigenie, I see there is fibre cables being installed in my area, I am guessing the complexes nearby will get 1st option for fibre, do you know the requirements needed to expand further into the neighborhood, how much interest is needed to get the entire neighborhood covered? Would it depend on how many people are interested in a single street? I know the installers are Corline, is this one of your associated fibre suppliers? I've heard stories of neighborhoods with fibre in the ground but the cables have just been lying there doing nothing because there just isn't enough interest, I don't want that happening here.

The use of peak and non-peak is only to describe when free-time will apply. It doesn't influence any policies or data shaping in any way for Capped accounts.

In terms of the times, Free-Time will run from midnight to 6pm and After Hours data (which was 11h30 to 7h30) will now run from midnight to 8am everyday.

Just about does - the extra 10GB in the eg. is effectively an add-on or bonus, then (whether used during peak or off-peak times) ?

It's usually based on interest in the specific area. I don't think we make use of Corline, but I would recommend popping over to our FTTH coverage page (HERE) and registering your interest. Get as many of your neighbours to register interest as well, if there is enough interest in your area we'll shop around and get FTTH for you.

So the Double Data is just that, double data which you can use at any time. :)

Got same issues here in EL,
running on auto assigned DNS 169.1.1.3 & 169.1.1.10

Everything works perfect on WA account
 
Is there any update on the increased latency to Europe yet as gaming to European servers has been near impossible of late as at night hover at 300ms constantly.
