My YouTube suddenly dropped to 144p resolution and was stuttering.
I tried to open a new browser window to see if there were any related comments in this forum and got this:

So I went to Clientzone, as that is all it would let me do having hijacked my browser, and got this:

I did cancel earlier this month but I was under the impression that the cut off was midnight not 5PM.

I was also advised on cancellation that I would not be billed for December but my unused data would remain usable until the 31st.

Don't waist any time trying to reinstate it, having already had to install an alternate account and I won't be switching back to Afrihost, especially not to do more tests.

But that is damn poor Public relations and not conducive to getting return business, you may as well have sent a good riddance email message.

That's strange... Your unused data from this month should definitely have rolled over to December. If you are up to it, drop me a PM with the username and I'll check what's going on.

Getting unstable latency in quake live tonight - newlands server - spiking between 17ms and 117ms. Bras a smooth 12ms throughout the whole process, as usual when tracerting seeing instability on hop 3 and 4, i.e. first afrihost IP's that are not bras.

Mind dropping me a PM with your account username so I can pass it onto our network team?

Any word from Mweb yet, about the latency problems?

Heya Hummer. :) Our team has been working hard on some configuration on our network during the course of today. Are you still seeing weird results? Please feel free to post them here.

International latency high again like every evening no fix after 2 weeks

Hi AfriPeeps, problems with latency to EU west servers.
In League of Legends with an Afrihost capped account I always have 280 - 300ms(normally it would be 185-200) but on a 1gig WA account its 200 - 210ms.

Same thing for Dota 2 Luxembourg EU west server
With Afrihost it is always around 300 - 330ms but with WA its 220 - 250ms.

I do believe it started this week, was hoping it eventually fixed itself. Any idea?

Would love to check it out. :) Please PM me your DSL username and I'll pass it onto our network engineers.

I have exactly the same issue in League of Legends

oh wow! after months of pain and constant logging of faults i finally come across these last +20 pages of this thread where people are experiencing the same issues i have. Unstable pings that seem to act as packet loss, high jitter and high latencies etc.
I found this thread after deciding actually to do more searching on the laggy ip's and the ips picked up the post on the thread. All the laggy hops seem to be associated with afrihost or mweb and is in the hundreds.
I thought i was the only one but clearly im not. Its also clearly not a telkom fault but an isp!!!
Whats more mind boggling after numerous emails, call ins and call backs not one support staff mentions that it might be an internal server issue. Instead "please turn your router off, going to reset port" or "fault logged with telkom please wait 48 hours".
I even asked them to check how my traffic is being routed to make sure its not because of something related to that, answer "we have no control over that. Everything is automatic". Network status shows green...um...clearly not.

Has the problem been found? is there and eta to when it will be resolved? It has been like this since july/august.
