oh wow! after months of pain and constant logging of faults i finally come across these last +20 pages of this thread where people are experiencing the same issues i have. Unstable pings that seem to act as packet loss, high jitter and high latencies etc.
I found this thread after deciding actually to do more searching on the laggy ip's and the ips picked up the post on the thread. All the laggy hops seem to be associated with afrihost or mweb and is in the hundreds.
I thought i was the only one but clearly im not. Its also clearly not a telkom fault but an isp!!!
Whats more mind boggling after numerous emails, call ins and call backs not one support staff mentions that it might be an internal server issue. Instead "please turn your router off, going to reset port" or "fault logged with telkom please wait 48 hours".
I even asked them to check how my traffic is being routed to make sure its not because of something related to that, answer "we have no control over that. Everything is automatic". Network status shows green...um...clearly not.

Has the problem been found? is there and eta to when it will be resolved? It has been like this since july/august.

Sorry that you are having this poor experience. From the general network perspective, we're seeing normal latencies and there seem to be certain clients experiencing this. We're trying to link these reports together in terms of what services are experiencing latency, where the users are and what settings are being used. We are definitely investigating and we hope to pin this down very soon :(
 
Has the Free-Data been extended - Today is the 01 December 2016 - Free-data was running until 30 November 2016.
Don't want to burn up my paid data. Please advise.

Extended until end December for all DATA accounts to the value of R99 or more, and bundles where the data portion makes up R99 or more.

To whom can I contact to report repeated attempts at telnet and ssh attacks on my equipment.

The IPs are from Afrihosts network. So I'm sure most of them are from (hacked) IOT devices and infected systems.

Free-Time has indeed been extended until the end of December!

We've tweaked it a bit, so only the 50G + 50GB packages and larger receive the full 18 hours Free-Time with the smaller packages receiving a revised 00h00 to 08h00 Free-Time.

So my Afrihost+ didn't double my data on my package again, the same as last month.

Who can I pm to fix it again?
 
Trying to watch a stream on SuperSport, it plays for about 15 seconds then stops.

There are many posts about supersport streaming on the forum.

The issue is with supersport,we are all experiencing errors and random stopping.

It works better on the app from your phone,at least for me it does

If its occurring on certain clients only, wouldnt it be an account settings issue? Maybe someone can check mine out or maybe provide a different account to use?
