Morning - can one of the Afripeeps maybe help me with a port reset? My line dropped on Monday afternoon and since it reconnected I am seriously struggling with latency (even worse than before) - hoping a port reset will help.

Thanks

Sure! Please DM me your line number and I'll get the Port Recreate done.

:(

That's not great to see at all! How are things looking this morning? Would you mind if I PM you a SAIX-based test account to try out if this happens again.

Hi

I sent them for AfriGuy to see. Posted this one at about 5pm last night and he said it looked fine. I told him yes I know but will send another at 8 or 9pm again then he will see what i am talking about.

Did not test this morning but was probably fine. Left for work early. The problem is intermittent but mostly from 6pm onwards but do happen during the day as well sometimes.

Would appreciate a test account( Will be able to check it tonight).

Spoke to a few different Telkom guys aswell the past week and they keep saying everything is fine by them.

Thanks for the helpCapture5.JPG

Morning Afrigenie, I need some help getting my Internet working again, I've been chatting to one of your support staff who's been very helpful, but haven't heard from them since yesterday morning I can't be sure my messages are going through because of the terrible signal I have here, my line has been upgraded, the connection speed on my router says 20mbs, but there is no connection, red light stays on, on the adsl2+ router which I was told was correct because the exchange doesn't support vdsl but does support 20mbs over adsl2+ I am still on a 8mbs business uncapped package, not sure if that would make any difference, I badly need to get back online for business purposes. Trying to send emails from my phone and reading documents is a serious pain not to mention having to stand in the corner of my house to get any sort of signal. I'm going to check if my cupboard might have better signal shortly.

Your Business Uncapped account should be connecting regardless of what your DSL line sync is on.

Can you please DM me your Ticket Reference number or DSL line number and I'll get on this ASAP.

Apologies, im sure this question has been asked and answered already but i havent been following this thread. When is Afrihost expecting to release new prices?

We're still waiting for confirmation from Higher-ups as to what sort of pricing changes we can expect. The moment we receive an update, we'll let you guys know.

everytime i see your avatar, i think the question or comment is an angry one :D

Im back online, but it seems okay. Speeds are still crappy, but streaming is fine

Have you tried to drop your line to 4mb just to see if it improves?. Clearly your area is not suitable for VDSL or 20mb ADSL+ . I have seen some areas where an MSAN has to carry over 5000 users, surely that would cause some strain on that exchange. Especially if everyone wants 20mb VDSL or ADSL+ 10mb lines.
