Been fine for 2 years. I know exchanges also "changes". but then Telkom needs to upgrade.
Some people have waited 2 years for their exchange to be upgraded![]()

I still have high latency to some local game servers :/ will this ever be fixed? Otherwise i have to cancel :/
Which local servers do you have issues with? Can you please post a traceroute to the server IP (if you have it) so we can see the latency?![]()
Hey Afripeeps, I sent Afriguy some more info regarding my router to try and get me connected, I sent as much info as possible, I don't know if you guys can see each others inbox?
high latency to local game servers again... Not only high latency but the ping is so unstable on second its back to normal and boom its above 100ms in the next. When i switch to telkom it solves the problem.

The latency definitely seems to be on Optinet/Mweb's side. As you can see we are peering directly with them at NAP Africa, which is a neutral peering point, so from there it's on their side how they manage traffic. Have you checked with them if there is an issue on their side?

Anyone else noticing intermittent drops in international?
Skype comes and goes, Whatsapp messages get stuck at sending, and CNN timing out randomly
You guys should be on top of this to be honest...its not the customers problem. We have given you evidence that it only happens on your network so i think it's time for you to investigate...
How loud to you want me to laugh! Go back to some of the very first posts I made and what will you see?
Afrihost really has to do something about why they are subjecting their customers to the erratic performance provided by mweb/optinet!
We don't have much input with how networks that we peer with handle traffic once it's sent over to them from NAP.
