Sorry about the delay here, Dreamking. Due to the high attenuation on your line this is proving to be a bit harder than anticipated. We're working on it!

Which local servers do you have issues with? Can you please post a traceroute to the server IP (if you have it) so we can see the latency?

Hey Afripeeps, I sent Afriguy some more info regarding my router to try and get me connected, I sent as much info as possible, I don't know if you guys can see each others inbox?

Which local servers do you have issues with? Can you please post a traceroute to the server IP (if you have it) so we can see the latency?

high latency to local game servers again... Not only high latency but the ping is so unstable on second its back to normal and boom its above 100ms in the next. When i switch to telkom it solves the problem.

The latency definitely seems to be on Optinet/Mweb's side. As you can see we are peering directly with them at NAP Africa, which is a neutral peering point, so from there it's on their side how they manage traffic. Have you checked with them if there is an issue on their side?

How loud to you want me to laugh! Go back to some of the very first posts I made and what will you see?

Afrihost really has to do something about why they are subjecting their customers to the erratic performance provided by mweb/optinet!

You guys should be on top of this to be honest...its not the customers problem. We have given you evidence that it only happens on your network so i think it's time for you to investigate...

There shouldn't be an issues with international traffic at the moment, are you seeing any spikes in latency?

You guys should be on top of this to be honest...its not the customers problem. We have given you evidence that it only happens on your network so i think it's time for you to investigate...

We don't really have the ability to see inside other networks. It sounds like you're implying that Mweb is treating our traffic differently to other ISP networks (or their own) which would be very distressing, and I don't think that would be the case

And to confirm, everyone on those networks gets the same lousy performance .....
