Yes, Afrihost will now shape Business Uncapped as a last resort if the network is under strain. So no guarantees. Afrihost did not even publicly inform us. I found out here, still no official email, but the website has been updated.Has the clause for Business Uncapped changed, so we aren't guaranteed to be unshaped?, if that is the case then time to find another ISP...The network has been rubbish lately, twitch, youtube, downloads, all are messed up...

As everyone uses up the last of their caps as they have the mentality of saving the data till the last moment and then splurging it, causing slow-downs for everyone. Check tomorrow, the latency/throughput issues will be a lot better again. It's the same if you check the Telkom LTE threads (I haven't looked at any other ISP/network threads today)
Every morning and every afternoon my line starts dropping every 30seconds, without me even browsing, it's like it knows I need to use it most at these times and karma is a ....., this carries on for about and hour sometimes longer, I have now sent 3 automated line faults to telkom to try and resolve this, no response, they were helpful at the beginning but now just seem to ignore my issue I don't even receive a sms with a reference number, apparently they moved me to a new port which is BS if this issue is still continuing, I have however ordered a new modem to see if my lovely telkom pace modem might be part of the problem, but I suspect my problems wont end there.

I am noticing a general international speed issue this afternoon. Everything was fine up until around 4pm and now it is all lagging badly. Local is 100% but international is a huge issue right now for me.
Once again, routing has gone pear shaped. Daily occurence lately

Seems this issue has still not been resolved.
This is now getting really old. We've been trying to be patient and understanding, but enough is enough.
Trying to get some actual work done online, but constant buffering.

I upgraded from 10Mb, because 20Mb recently became available, I live just over 1km form the exchange which should give me a great ratio.
Funny enough the 1st week the line was hitting a full 20Mbs without issue, if I could get fiber here , I would drop them in a second. The lack of any further support, I'm not sure why I'm surprised.
Did you check to make sure you are indeed running on VDSL and not ADSL2+?, I have seen somewhere on MyBB a user had the same issue. Turns out the modulation was causing poor SNR..If you have a VDSL router and its not on VDSL mode, then you need to log a call and request it to be moved over to VDSL. Check if it solves your issue. If not then do what Afriguy suggested and downgrade back to 10mb, until telkom can replace the copper in your area.
The 20Mbs is running on ADSL2+ there is no line sync on VDSL mode, it looks like I will have to move back to 10Mbs until fiber arrives, so sadI don't really understand why it's being offered if it doesn't work. But you know Telkom is what it is, there's never anything nice to say about them so I won't say anything, my language gets colorful when talking about them, it happens naturally. Thanks for the tip anyway.
