Afrihost New Network Feedback - Part 2

Sorry to hear about the poor experience.
If you're still having hassles with the account, do you mind posting up some test data I can take a look at?
Sorry. Did not have time for that last night.
Was easier and quicker just to change isp login details.

Not sounding good :(
Is your voice line dead too?

Actually not sure - I don't have a phone connected. I use it purely for dsl not for calls. ;)

Skyfi has a great offering 10mbps connection uncapped unshaped no fup for R600. Thinking about making the switch. Have had enough of these issues on my line now. (Not blaming you I know there isn't much you guys can do - just tired of the crap I am experiencing).

Did you not look into the Integrated data sim pal?

KZN Latency Updates

Hi guys

So the latency seen in the region seemed to have been resolved, so I'm not really sure if this is a separate issue. I've asked our Network team to continue to do some digging

I know this is a really frustrating situation, but can I please ask the guys that are still seeing issues to consolidate their feedback into the same standard so I can pass that onto our team?
If you're still having issues please post the following:

Area/ suburb
Account type
Local traceroute
Traceroute to affected site/ service
Ping to bras.afrihost.com
List any other affected services
DNS being used

Thanks so much guys. I know these constant tests are a pain, but it's the best way to FW this kind of info through for something actionable on our end.

It seems fine now, yes, thanks @Afriguy. Will check tonight "wanneer die poppe begin dans" and do the tests.

I was in the Telkom shop for 2 1/2 hours and still wasn't first in line. So I just walked out. Tired of dealing with Telkom.

urgh thats so crap pal. Hope you get sorted. If not, then maybe your next best option is the uncapped LTE deal, but again its Telkom.

These issues don't present themselves until around 8PM or so and tends to (usually) resolve itself by ~10/11PM. Tonight will tell whether the issue has been fixed or not. I hope it is.

Tried trace routing to bras.afrihost.com but all I keep getting is asterixs and then the App crashes.
Using my iPad to trace route as I don't have my laptop with me.

My trace route to Afrihost.com:

Thanks for letting me know.
I hope you don't have to post, but keep me posted either way :)

Not seeing this latency reported on our end, can you ping bras.afrihost.com to confirm the latency on your exchange please?
I assume you're not doing any up/ downloads when running these?

Thanks.
Very erratic latency to the exchange, is the experience replicated when testing with another ISP?

Seems like switching accounts helps temporarily, but the latency is still very erratic - could indicate exchange issues.
Is your line managed by us? I'd like to try a port reset to see if that helps things here.
