Also the issues haven't occurred every night over the last month or so, even if its good tonight i would still be apprehensive to declare the problem has been fixed. We need two - three weeks before that can happen.

Try and have them run a port reset to see if this eases the congestion for a bit :)
Ideally though, they'll need to upgrade the hardware in the area to see the congestion eased permanently.

Honestly I have so many issues with the internet now days I can't even tell anymore. 350 + ping to rainbow six siege servers (EU hosted. Often get kicked because ping is too high) at night, twitch and crunchy roll only doing 300 Kb/s on a 20mb line. Pages loading slowly/timing out. *shrug*

Just wanted to know the trace was normal. Thanks for the info.

What DNS servers are you using at the moment?

Area/ suburb
Account type
Local traceroute
Traceroute to affected site/ service
Ping to bras.afrihost.com
List any other affected services
DNS being used

Thanks so much guys. I know these constant tests are a pain, but it's the best way to FW this kind of info through for something actionable on our end.

Do they have a low viewer count?

I always thought that happened when a streamer didn't have enough viewers for it to be worth while for twitch to throw hardware at them to do the down scaling.
