Don't think that was the case before OpenServe.
Wholesale was a dedicated team that dealt with ISPs.
 
IOS app store painfully slow here in Durban. I am really desperate as i need to download around 10gb from app store for new phone. Is there anything Afrihost can do?

What type of account do you have with us? How are your other download speeds looking?

Have Premium Uncapped 20mbps. Says it is not shaped on clientzone. Get 18.75mbps tested just now on speedtest. All apple services are almost dead.
 
NNTP running at 2MB/s full line speed. App store/iTunes store and iCloud crippling slow takes 30mins for 27mb app to download.

Maybe try switching around DNS? Or pause and resume the download so it can try and pull content from a different cache.

Tried 3 different DNS servers and tried 2 VDSL modems. Still no change. It is also happening on all iPhones and iPads on my network so multiple devices. App store has been dead for me for over a month. It literally has not loaded at all until this weekend. Now it loads extremely slowly since the weekend.
 
It has not worked since the email Afrihost sent out about buying back from MTN.

It sounds like you may be shaped, downloads are shaped dynamically depending on demand. We're in the process of updating the ClientZone to show the shaping correctly.

You could enable TurboCharge, that should speed up the download.
 
Cannot connect to Steam. Speedtest show connection to UK to be sub 1mbps (should be 2mbps on a capped account).

This was more than 2 hours ago. However the AH dashboard indicate that all is green and the network is 'running like a bomb'.

Please update your dashboard to correctly reflect the network status!

This shouldn't be affecting our Clients in a noticeable way. :)

What sort of account are you on? Which DNS Servers are you using?

What's the point of running an MTR to the TLD though? iftop, find the source IP and MTR to that.

Can't stream a damn thing in Cape Town again and Speed test won't fully load so I can't test it.
Back to the Telkom account until the "Non Existent" problems are fixed again I guess.
 
Haven't commented here in a while.

Getting slow speeds on a streaming service I use.
Connect to vpn which routes me through Europe - full speed.
Connect to my vox backup account - full speed.

Otherwise been running pretty solid for me.

Joburg South.

Is not my fritzbox it happen every evening
Only on afrihost
