Afrihost New Network Feedback - Part 2

Windows 10 update was flying last night, today it's taking its time to download :(

Hope the network team solves the issue plaguing the network today.

Afrihost is a great company but the network recently is not as it should be. Capped is supposed to be unshaped so I'm not sure this is happening.

Also struggling this afternoon. p2p at 0.6kB/s

Websites wont load.

And then everything will work fine for a minute or 2

I also can not access Google DNS, Latency to any Mweb hosted services is very erratic.

YouTube buffering due to peering problems to the Mweb Network me thinks.

YouTube works fine for me with Afrihost DNS.

I prefer Google DNS though which I cannot use at all at the moment.

Can someone please comment on the issue?

If they're doing updates on the network, I don't mind waiting but no comment at all is ridiculous.

What ive noticed it that no matter how many people bitch and complain they never switch to a new ISP...wonder why...

8.8.8.8 is still not working on Afrihost.

Why does this happen? Can anyone explain?

I've asked our Team to loko into this, it could be a routing issue, but it could also be an issue on some of the Google services.

why would the 8.8.8.8 dns just be a problem on afrihost not 2 days go by without problems on AH

As I said, the Team is looking into it, but the issue may not be on our side. Using our DNS will make sure that you have the best possible experience at all times.
