That test was solo over LAN. Just checked network stats, mine is the only device using the network, only for gaming. (most of my family is watching Westworld) (that means line utilization was under 1%)


I highlighted in red the hop at which the latency is introduced, it's when it steps off your peering point in London.

EDIT 2: 340ms ping.
Is this a test of customer loyalty, because this is straining it.

My fb images also broken since last night. Youtube perf also seems down, but I have no stats.

First trace done last night when AF was all nice and congested, second trace done this morning when all the freebie users was offline and the network isn't congested.

20ms LOCAL, vs. 90ms LOCAL. ON AFRIHOST'S NETWORK. Nothing else involved.

Afrihost, sorry. Your network is congested, it's as simple as that.
 
Only empty promise 4 month to fix problem to Europe
1 day try to fix facebook and no support answers in the morning before from 7:00 Afrihost starts on the forum know is 8:26 no answers
And we the users must be no angry and be polite for no service
And on facebook you tell you habe no problem loading pic in Facebook

They will never admit that. The cynic in me suspects that they string the customers along with "tests" knowing full well that the problems they are facing are network related and not connection specific or based on customer' connections. These aren't isolated incidents, they are common shared experiences that all conform.

Thanks for the details, are the images not loading at all on FB for you, or is it just specific pages or one or two pages in FB? Could you PM me your DSL username please.
 
Still having the same problems with images.

Seeing it's affecting a lot of people in CPT,i guess i'll just have to ride it out.

Why is no one from afri saying there is a problem,yet post #8413 confirms this.

I am aware of that, but it'll help us to figure out if there are specific DNS servers that are providing the incorrect routing information. :)

Using 169.1.1.3 & 169.1.1.10 (automatically assigned). The only images loading in FB are the little icons for their features. No profile images, no thumb nails. I can't spot one now, but last night their sponsored (adverts) posts were showing images.

I know it isn't just me as I've had friends call to ask their "more technically inclined" friend if facebook looks weird :p


Friends and I are all in the CT area

Hi yes its all FB images...FB page loads but no images.

Will pm you now.
