Afrihost New Network Feedback - Part 2

Sent inbox twice of the trace routes that were requested from me. Zero response. Ping terrible was only that 1.5 days of decent latency
 
I've been having issues all weekend, my line keeps dropping but doesn't when I change to WebAfrica or Axxess etc.

I've sent HELP to that number and no response.

All this SHYTE started when Afrihost switched to what... Neotel as their backbone.

This is normal
I ask about the different pops in Cape Town one pop give problems
No answer their only protection Afrihost I have packet loss for 4 month only on Afrihost
 
sunday after 6pm was terrible speeds sorry to say but it does not look like the network can run longer than 2 days without problems
 
Are any of the AfriReps around today? No DNS using defaults since this morning, and have had a few messages from clients saying the same? I'm using Google DNS, is everyone else ok?

We're here. :) Sorry about this. It seems as if there was a bit of a DNS issue on Sunday, but a switch to Google DNS would have fixed it. Really sorry about any inconvenience. Things seem to be back to normal this morning.

Morning. :) We're not seeing any causes for intermitency on our DSL network. This is definitely the kind of thing that we'll need to troubleshoot more. Please PM me your details and I'll check out your connection history and run some tests on your line. :)

I logged a ticket on the weekend, was having crazy high ping to local and international, as well as packet loss locally and internationally. I logged a ticket the dude said
"Please note that I’ve run a session auditor on your account in order to refresh your connectivity profile. I’ve also remotely recreated your adsl port in order to refresh your line. Please reboot your router at your earliest convenience and re-test your connection."

This didnt help one bit, so i logged reopened the ticket and got a response at about 12:18am to say that there are DNS issues and i should use googles ? which i changed to this morning but havnt been able to confirm if its fixed

Thanks for the update. :) I'm sorry to hear about the initial poor response on the ticket. :(

There were some DNS issues yesterday which might have affected your experience. These have since been resolved and we're good to go.

This should not have caused latency and P/L in the way you are describing it, though. Please test when you can and let me know the results. :)

If you are on the 150GB + 150GB you will still have access to the full Free-Time. The Bundle discount won't affect whether or not your get access to Free-Time. :)
Would you mind clarifying it in the e-mail next time? E.g. 150+150GB or up in brackets? Just as an in case for those of us who don't keep track of the exact number as I (and probably man others) use it as a bundle.

If you are on a 150GB + 150GB Capped account and bigger you will still have access to the Free-Time Data, the smaller packages will still get the 00h00 to 08h00 After-Hours data. :)
