Afrihost New Network Feedback - Part 2

Good question, it's now just listed as 200GB, same price as 100+100GB looks like.

i notice that my package is showing 300 + 300 which im assuming is normal data plus double data, as i cancelled AfriPlus. So in theory, had i still had AfriPlus, it would be something like 300 + 600 gigs. Its pretty confusing at the moment

At this stage there is no cutoff date, but it can be revised again at anytime. :)

Ok, well I'm glad I hadn't gotten around to cancelling my TI uncapped account and moving everything across to Afrihost. Let me know when you guys settle on a threshold, my decision to move across can be revised at anytime. :)

i know :) But just wondering if it shouldnt show the package being 150 +150 as i never upgraded to a 300 + 300 package. I was on a 150+450 incl AfriPlus, but with all my data and Free Time, i cancelled (for now) AfriPlus and downgraded to a 150+150 package. Just dont want to be billed for a 300+ 300 package ;)

Just sent you a PM with more details. ;)

I'm seriously disappointed about the shaping. I moved to Afrihost because of it being unshaped.

Hey Guys :)

I see some of you guys have noticed that we've made a few changes to our Capped packages. We've now launched two variations. Priority Boosted Capped packages, which are unshaped, will receive half the data allocation as Shaped Capped packages at the same price. This means we've made double data permanent on Shaped Capped packages. I have to stress that on the Shaped Capped packages we reserve the right to shape, and will not actively be shaped, our Uncapped packages will still be shaped first.

Have a look at this link explaining how shaping is applied on different packages:
https://www.afrihost.com/microsites/network/management/

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Pass our message to Gian, the clients are disappointed. Not what we expected nor wanted.

where does this leave the people that are already on a capped account do you just decide for them or do they stay unshaped like it was promised when they joined
we see also that the rollover problem is not sorted out like your support promised are the people just going to loose the data?

Anyone else having super slow internet the last week and half with frequent disconnects only to have the page load 5 seconds later,or half loaded.

Existing Capped clients will remain unshaped until 1 January 2017. From today we will be sending out emails where our Capped clients will be given the option to opt for the Priority-Boosted Capped package. Clients who do not respond to the email will automatically be migrated to the Shaped option, but will be able to change their packages in Clientzone. :)

We're not aware of any general issues at the moment.. Can you see this being reflected in speedtests?
