Did you take into account that most customers are on a dynamic IP, so whom you are sending it to does not necessarily have that IP anymore?

Quite right. :) These mails are sent automatically, so if a client can show that the dynamically assign IP{ did not belong to them at the time, there really isn't anything to worry about.

Cape town. I'm at work, might try again tonight. I have an 8mb line, which should be more than capable of hd and sd, but isnt. Other streaming services work fine.

Have you tried playing around with DNS settings?

Clients don't have to show it, you, as the ISP, do. I don't keep track of what my IP address is, I assume most others don't either.

And by what you're saying, you're just forwarding the notice directly without checking for authenticity or that it is the correct recipient, therefore causing stress for the client that had nothing to do with it.

it usually comes with a time-stamp which the isp can use to track who used that ip at that time.

are the R99 100gig capped accounts shaped now? torrents are slower than snails pace

Yes correct :) In the mail you receive we include the original American timestamp, yet at the top we convert it to SAST. I have spoken to our Team and have confirmed we are definitely sending the notices to the correct clients.

Shaping policies will only be implemented in January, if you have opted for the Shaped Capped package. Are any other services slow such as streaming, browsing, other downloads etc?

Couldnt find a mobile data thread,

Yesterday I got a Afrihost branded page saying I had rung out of data, whilst clientzone showed I still had 100mb left.
Support blamed my phone magically changing the APN even though it showed an afrihost branded page...
Also could connect suddenly after contacting support

Today no data on LTE, clientzone shows 700KB data left, and I have auto topup enabled. No error page saying
I have run out of data just no connection.

What really pissed me off yesterday was the attitude from support that it was my phone.

Afrihost is great till you need to speak to support.
