Afrihost New Network Feedback - Part 3

Afrigenie I sent you a PM, thanks.

I sent a PM to AfriGenie, but have not received a reply. Just want to find out before the end of the day, so I can make my decision.

I'm currently on a VDSL 20Mbps + 200GB Unshaped bundle. Over the last month or so I've built up some unused data. If I now decide to downgrade to VDSL 20Mbps + 20GB bundle, what happens to my built up data? Does it stay as it was?

Your unused data for your current package will roll-over as per normal even if you downgrade to a smaller package.

If Free-Time is ending, are any changes being made to the shaped/unshaped capped system?

Well, if it is expensive for AH to get additional capacity, and AH obviously trying to save money for itself, why dont AH gives us some serious discount for January or February, as in FACT we are paying for aggressively shaped internet with unreliable latency as a cherry on top?

Notice how this post is conveniently ignored? :crylaugh: AH admits that they've got issues that are impacting the expected experience levels but they still want you to pay full price.

It's okay for ISPs to under-deliver and still charge the same amount, but just you dare not pay your full monthly fee and they cut you off.

I need more data. Dropped my package to the 200 + 200 shaped account from a 150GB unshaped. Freetime falling away has played a big part in this.

Update on this? Seriously, requested since Friday morning. You managed to drop my sync to 6 Mbps on the same day, why does it take 4 days to put me back on 10 Mbps?

:(

I've asked the Critical Care Team to update me as quickly as possible.

Called in, the call center guy did a port reset, it didn't do anything. He wants to log a fault.

I wouldn't recommend that, I think it's best to leave the request with Critical Care, the Support requests may interfere with what they are doing.

If it takes more than 4 days, what do you suggest I should do? /gesticulates wildly into the air.

Please pass this on to the relevant team... Afrihost clients really want the shaped capped system to fall away. We hate it. We specifically loved Afrihost for keeping capped accounts unshaped. With Free time falling away, please change capped to unshaped completely.

I'm hoping the relevant team takes interest that this is what clients want and offers it. Plus it puts you one up from mweb, Web Africa, etc.

Our Team is keeping a close eye on all feedback that we receive. I can't make any promises with regards to changes in the products, but we're definitely monitoring the feedback.

Still good. Even in high demand periods. :)

:(

It shouldn't take that long at all. I'm pushing them for an update ASAP.

Echo echo echo?
What does this mean? "As soon as possible", right? Is it even possible? Seriously, this is ridiculous.

EDIT: Let's do it like this. I got 60% of my line speed for 5 days now in about an hour, this month has 31 days, so I'll pay 90% of the line fees for the month. That's the service I am being offered, why am I paying for more?

This is not taking into account the line fault I've had open for 12+ days with between 10-75% packet loss which is an OpenServe issue, which I happen to pay you for, maybe I'll subtract that as well. Seems to be how it's going, you do your half-arsed effort and I'll go and pay you "ASAP" and as much as possible (possible being anything I want).
