Can you drop any diagnostics here so we can check this out?

There have been a few people complaining about packet loss ? ... And after switching back to my regular uncapped AH account the slideshow went away ? ... Definitely not an issue with my line because my 2 free test accounts run flawlessly


I have a 10mbps Business Uncapped with business prioritization turned off.

And there seems to be some shaping going on ... I can definitely see the line speed difference at certain times and yes, I understand that it could be increased traffic, but not with such precision, this happens every day at the same times

We're definitely not shaping Business and there should be no issues with contention at this point, as we're very much under our theoretical capacity. How are you reaching the conclusion that you are being shaped?

There was some packet loss yesterday due to a change implemented which has been reversed, which I did post about.

After 2 days of awesome, latency is creeping up and international throughput is tanking.

Oh dear... packet loss starting to creep in now, and huge latency spikes from 41.170.79.229.

they guys are constantly working on small changes. That definitely doesn't look too good :(

Any update on this? It was reported in ClientZone.
 
for what its worth.. here is my feedback.

Been running this for the past 36 hours.

1) Slow, pretty much the same as Afrihost MTN
2) My downloads only started to run at any appreciable speed at 1:10AM this morning
3) There is some DNS tomfoolery / smoke and mirrors going on, certain IoT appliances in my home cannot get the correct time from NTP servers until about 8 hours later.
4) Still cannot stream at 1080p

I have nothing further to say... this relationship is at an end.

Reading your response I just remembered that we have IP restrictions on VPN connections. Thats probably the issue. Apologies.
 
Can anyone in Cape Town tell me what their latency is like to LoL EU West and/or Smite Europe?

We are definitely concerned that you (or other users could be experiencing these kind of symptoms. I can confirm, from your points:

1) we had some problems yesterday evening, but these should have been resolved by 11pm. This could have affected your speeds
2) We should definitely have seen good throughput after 11pm, can you provide links we can test on our side?
3) We do think our DNS could be a little faster. First request can be improved, but second requests should be perfect.
4) What streams are not working at 1080p? YouTube is testing great, but we know that Twitch at high-res is not great yet (we're working on peering for better performance). Again, any links would really help us :(

If anyone is experiencing problems like these, we want to try to troubleshoot and find out what could be causing this and improve your experience wherever we can (and also make the network better).

Browsing fine again today, was just last night.

Only issue today is Facebook, though I expect that might just be Facebook that's having issues.

41.170.79.229 still a tad erratic... otherwise everything zen again.

I've been having strange issues with FB myself recently. What sort of problems are you having with FacebooK?

I got the same issue late night when i tried to join the same server as you, I have reported it on Afrihost's clientzone, waiting to get some feedback on it. I had to change back to my normal Afrihost account to join the server
