Why does the 3rd hop time-out on the old account?
 
Afrigreen working 'like a bomb' for me this morning. Streaming is best it has been since tests started. If the techies would just step back and not touch or tinker with anything right now and keep everything as it is then I would be very happy!
Am in CapeTown area with 10Mbps line, capped account.
 
Seriousl, what is happening at Afrihost? I was dealing with Afrigenie, who refuse to reply to my message - after he asked me to pm him. I lodged a complain with Afrihost yesterday about the bad speeds of the Green line - and true as FCK they tell me I must now use the OLD username and Password. The VERY same account that gave me troubles and that was so slow that I could not even open Facebook!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHAT IS GOING ON????????????? WHO IS GOING TO FIX MY INTERNET SPEED SO THAT I CAN DOWNLOAD AND WATCH MY YOUTUBE?????

SEE THE BELOW EMAIL. HOW IS THIS FIXING ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JUST ****ING PUTTING ME BACK ON MY OLD ACCOUNT IS NOT DOING ANYTHING!!!!!! AND BEST OF ALL AFRIHOST IS BLOCKING TORRENTS - I CANT EVEN DOWNLOAD ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PLEASE FIX MY ADSL LINE. I DON'T WANT TO GO BACK TO THE OLD PATHETIC ACCOUNT I HAD AS IT WAS NOT WORKING!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE TRAIN YOUR STAFF TO ACTUALLY HANDLE ISSUES AND PROBLEMS CORRECTLY AND NOT JUST CHANGE THINGS BACK TO SOMETHING THAT WAS NOT WORKING IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JESUS!!!!!!

That was at 19:00 last night, he has to stop working for that day at some point.

Ps: no. I am beyond being nice now. I have had issues this WHOLE month! Every day I get false promises and lies and nobody is actually fixing anything. Now they putting me back on the old account that was so bad to start with. It's like they don't read the problems and they don't care about customers. I have been a very loyal customer for years but I am at my wits end and going to look for another ISP to take my business to if they don't fix my line ASAP!!
 
Normal AH is working fine Nicci, switch back to that and save yourself a heart attack...

Then why do they change me up and down! It's super frustrating!

Can someone fix my line - I don't care what colour your line is just put me on one that actually works!

You do know they have no control over your router, so if you don't want to change beck to that account you don't have to, they not forcing you to do anything.

Riddle me this, if my AG account is working fine and multiple users are saying the exact same thing, have you ever considered that it could be your line/exchange.

Glad to hear things are looking up :) While tweaks are taking place, they aren't as drastic as yesterday.

Sorry to hear you're seeing troubles here. The experiences, specifically on Afrigreen, has been quite good.
While I'm happy to help, let's work together on this - in a civil manner. It is Friday after all :)

Your old account is still active, I think something else is going wrong here. Would you be able to paste any test results here?

I'm just "guessing" here...but I think people are getting gatvol of paying for a service, but having to do diagnostic tests every 2 out of 3 times they wanna do something on the internet.

The whole point is paying for a service, is that as much as Afrihost does not care how their customers go out and make their money that is required to pay for the product that AH is selling, the customers just as much doesn't care how the service "provider", provides said service. All they want is to go home after work and enjoy a bit of internet (gaming/streaming etc) with the family. It is a real drag when you want to watch something, and have to get up to post the tracert etc. Any normal person would want to talk to their service providers AS LITTLE as possible.

At the end of the day, yes, the new Afrigreen network is POC...fine...I get that...BUT, you have to have a standard Afrihost account to get access to that AG account right? Now, while those accounts are being paid for in full, the service provider should do one of 2 things here...either freeze any payments for the people helping you test this POC network, because lets face it...they ARE doing you a massive favour!!...or number 2, immediately remove any links to the "old" ADSL products that are not working "as advertised"...no proof needed...just check MyBB in the last couple of months for all the posts backing up this statement.

And that's understandable, but let's troubleshoot where we can. At the end of the day, it's all what the POC is about - it's being moulded by feedback posted here.
