Yup, mine went down around midnight for 20 minutes. Seemed to be logging in ok, just no internet, now it's back to working again.Anyone's internet just die?
Seems there was an outage the affected fibre and dsl at that time.
It also affected fixed LTE. When the outage happened at 12am I switched over from Pure ADSL to my backup Pure LTE connection and had the exact same issues. Initially it was dead, then international sites were down, and eventually the whole network came back.
MTN fixed LTE also runs on our own network. We get transit from Openserve so naturally that will also affect Fixed LTE.
@AfriNatic is it possible to change the date that a credit card is debited with PureDSL ?
Eg. I want to pay you guys earlier on the 28th or 29th, instead on the 1st
Just a dumb question, if you already have adsl and a voice line that you use, is there anything that needs to change with the existing copper line to prepare it for pure dsl?
Hi,
The pure dsl line will be a separate installation to what you have now and won't interfere with what you currently have. Installation times vary but it's usually within 14 working days. You would need to cancel your current DSL if you just want to use Pure DSL.
If you still need the voice line you can keep that with Telkom if you wish or you can port it to a Voip provider. If you keep the voice line with Telkom you will essentially have 2 copper lines. 1 for voice from Telkom and 1 for Pure DSL.
So they put a new line in from the exchange if I understand you correctly? I spoke to our local Openserve guy and he told me nothing has to be installed, now iI am worried he won't do the install correctly
Thanks, now I feel better, was just worried that our technician also wasn't sure what to do.
Placed my order Tuesday, holding thumbs it happens sooner than later.
