I got this...
mom assuming the green tick means it was successfully submitted? As you said privately this may not complete the order until the technician marks it off... but let’s see

Verify ADSL might not be relevant for Pure Connect. The order is still open on Openserve system so let's see what happens when they mark it as done and whether verify ADSL is still required but I don't think it will be.

Telkom SA SOC Limited

That is the link that you verify adsl/vdsl. You can use the order number and Service number to do that. I'm not 100% sure if the same applies with Pure Connect but you can try it. The order is still open on Openserve side.![]()
I can’t seem to post a picture in the messages, so sorry for posting this here @cavedog but I just got home and connected the router to the newly installed line.
here is what I get. All looks good except it’s modulating as ADSL2+ instead of as VDSL

I had the same issue when I had my adsl changed from 10Mbps to 20Mbps. It was still set up as ADSL and not VDSL. I called Telkom support at the time (2 years ago) and they changed something on their side.here is what I get. All looks good except it’s modulating as ADSL2+ instead of as VDSL
@cavedog if I look at his screenshot it shows hardware version as "TD-W9970" which is an TP Link VDSL2 modem router according to a Google search. So according to me yes he has. ;-)I tried putting in the order number and service number that you gave me and it said that the order number and the service number do not exist, so I'm guessing Openserve's systems are completely separate from Telkom's.

So not to take over poor @tkbaby question but how do we proceed to change it from "Multimode to VDSL2"?Just wanted to confirm. The modulation mode on the line is currently multimode so that needs to be changed to VDSL2

Just asking since I might also sit with this issue once my line is up and running
So as promised I would provide updates regarding my installation:
Openserve phoned me now and confirmed a booking for tomorrow between 8am and 10am. Thumbs up that everything works out the way it should. Will provide feedback again once the Technician completed the installation.
What telephone number did they call you from? I think I might have got a missed call from them but not sure.
YES!!!! I just went live! PURE DSL is here!
