Wow. This is nice. Will Telkom be cutting their prices as well?
I won't know if Telkom ISP will change their DSL prices as we buy Wholesale service Openserve.

sorry for the random question @AfriNatic if i cancel my afihost mobile can i still go back to using MTN or is there something further i need to do other than changing the APN ?
Hi
If anyone can assist me, I am DSL and Fibre deals. When purchasing the pure DSL deal with Afrihost, the only deals available in my area (Protea Glen ext 7) are limited to the 10mbps deal only, if I add VPN (express VPN) to this will it affect my online gaming? @AfriNatic is there a reason why I am limited to the 10mbps speed?
Thank you very much. Very helpful. I saw that frogfoot is working on fibre for my side of Protea glen, we're one of the few extensions without fibre, will upgrade to better packages once they start. The speeds limited on Pure DSL is based on distance from the exchange. If you are far from the exchange the speeds available drop quickly.
10Mbps should be more than enough to provide you with very acceptable gaming latencies. Using a VPN can sometime improve latency as it offer alternative routes compared to our routes however it will not increase the line speed above 10Mbps as that is the physical line limitation set by Openserve and the distance from exchange.
Good morning
So last week Monday I placed a order with afrihost for pure dsl,we then got the confirmation and it showd up on the afrihost app, then on Friday I believe my dad got a call from a openserver techie saying they will be here on Monday at 9am sharp to install my dsl...it's already 10am and no call from openserver, but we have called afrihost and they said they could be a delay with openserver?. Has anyone else had a similar problem?
Regards
Hi.@AfriNatic thanks for responding..sorry for the late reply ..just read the message now ..so yesterday after loosing hope that the openserve techies woud come..they eventually popped up and after looking around they diagnosed that the line is faulty and has to be replaced by another team which could take up to 4 days ...so then after that they would come back and install the dsl..so will follow up with afrihost by Friday or latest Monday if any progress has been made
Anyone experiencing latency issues tonight? I am in Warzone...

I have not download or anything running as far as I know...
Thanks, but let me give it a day to sort itself out, if not I'll pm you. That is quite high. Something wrong at the exchange.
You can drop me a pm so I can log a fault for you.

So a little follow up..Monday we got a message from afrihost that they will be attending the faulty lines ..so yesterday we got another message stating it's fixed ,which was surprisingly fast .so now we have to wait for openserver techie to give us a call to come and finally install it
