I didn't even see anything about this, where did you see it?Hi @Afrigirl @AfriNatic is Afrihost participating in the Openserve double speed promo that started yesterday?
Further to this. Afrihost is busy testing the feasibility of PPPoE on a larger scale. DHCP-related issues have forced our hand. DHCP at a large scale gets more complex and difficult to secure and manage properly when you throw in more FNO's and different vendors.
There are challenges with this project. Features we require to be enabled on an OLT level are DHCP snooping and MFF (Mac forced forwarding) These layer 2 security features are no longer available when switching PPPoE on and so a complete switch per vlan/FNO is required in some cases.

@AfriNatic
The MACFF causes to many headaches and can randomly black hole traffic
The guys can do triple stack dhcpv4,v6 and pppoe with DHCP Snoop and PPPoe snoop
The ONT will test and switch between the two authentication protocols with this setup and prevents Rogue DHCP Servers

@Afrigirl and @AfriNatic I've noticed my traffic being routed inside your network is hitting a specific device (169.1.1.165) where I'm seeing consistent packet loss (+- 40% to 50%) and high latency to multiple end points.
Mind taking a look please.
