Which router do you use? Please set the WAN connection mode from PPPoE to DHCP/Dynamic IPv4/IPv6 Dual stack and once you get an ip visit https://login.afrihost.com/activate.php from the connection to activate the line.

Perfect. Sorry about that. It's definitely activated on the Octotel portal so just needs dhcp to be configured to work as we do not use PPPoE on Octotel.

Sounds like your router is leaking DHCP to the ONT.

We use DHCP. Most devices use DHCP to get an IP from a router so if these devices leak their DHCP discover packets to our DHCP server we will issue them a lease and redirect you to the activation page because we don't know who you are.

Please make sure you don't have any LAN/WAN bridges configured. Make sure that your router is the ONLY device requesting a lease from our DHCP server.

Could you please PM me the mac that was assigned with my public IP? It would just help me narrow down what MAC address that is and make sure I can get somewhat close before/if needing the help tomorrow.

I’ll tweak some settings in the morning and try figure this out. Networks have never been my strongest but I’ll learn something new along the way.

If you have a look at the IP that is being used it's a google cloud IP from the US. Looks like maybe some sort of resource limit in JHB perhaps?

Could be a discord issue again. Happened a few weeks ago too. If you enable developer mode on discord, where you check the ping you can see where it is connecting. My server is hard configured to use SA but in a channel right now and is using a server in Madrid. Getting about ~200ms

Hi.


It can take up to 5 days. When we submit our order with Frogfoot, they will get to see the cancellation submitted by CISP and ask them for an early release of the line. Our order will only activate once CISP has approved the early release.

During this process your line remains active, you will only lose connection when early release is approved and our order is being queued for activation.

It has been almost 2 weeks now that gaming is just bad on MW for me. Keeps disconnecting randomly and you are left with no choice but with the quit to desktop popup and the lagging is also bad.

Cloudflare in JHB went down and they did not pull their announcements so traffic was just dying at Teraco.

Have you ruled out drivers, hardware, router, ports etc? Try using Cloudflare Warp and see if it still disconnects.
