Quick question - why does routing to Cloudflare CPT route to JHB first on Afrihost Mobile but in Fibre goes straight to CPT.

There were a few drops in traffic between MTN Tygeberg and Afrihost Teraco Rondebosch and traffic was briefly rerouted to JHB when each drop happened as a failover.

If you toggle aeroplane mode on for a minute or so and switch ir off again can you check and see if you are back in CPT?

Hi

I added a notice. Unfortunately, the new ETA for upgrades is around 22nd September. We have mitigated the issue by sending more traffic over our secondary links but they are unreliable and the secondary links went down again last night which caused traffic to all shift back to the congested link.

The link which is currently undergoing an upgrade is the most stable and it's our primary NLD between DUR and JHB.

I sent it through to Vumatel Noc.

It might be different on Openserve as they use their own backhaul and might not be affected.
 
Internet seems sluggish past couple of days. Random disconnect on MS Teams and Discord. Youtube is buffering and website seems to take longer than usual to load. Didn't see any faults on the network status page

Quick question - I've noticed every night at 8PM that the DNS servers, 169.1.1.(1,2,3,4) have a wobble for a few minutes and resume.

Is this a planned thing or ... ?
