Afrihost - Pure Fibre Feedback Thread Part 2

From Monday until Today we've been offline for 4 days. Seems like we're going for a total internet free long weekend. Bought to you by Afrihost/Vumatel.

No reimbursement for the data I have to buy and no credit for the days we've been offline. It's not just this month, but the whole year.

Also, why did it take me an hour and 20 minutes just to get one of your Whatsapp support reps to log an issue that has been recurring EVERY single month for the last year?
Hi.
I understand that you have been affected by a number of outages, we apologise for the inconvenience caused. Unfortunately, we do not credit for downtime due to an outage with the FNO.
Please drop me a PM with your account number so I can check if the service has been restored and if the recurring fault can be escalated with Vuma.

I'll PM you, but be aware, you're going to have to log another issue, as it JUST went off, again, after being on for a single day. At this stage, I literally do not know what to do anymore. I'm paying for constant interrupted service. It's crazy, actually.

Edit: PM sent.

@AfriNatic, @Afrigirl. Hello. It's been days, possibly over a week, intermittently losing connection for a couple of seconds up to a minute, multiple times a day. Is there a known issue right now? Have their been any reported issues with Clear Access in the Mayfair area?

I'm not aware of any issues. Are you currently using DHCP? If so please try to switch to PPPoE and see if the connection stabilizes.

Is this a bug?

Clientzone app and fibre.

Afrihost on Openserve just bit the dust in Eldoraigne now. Intermittent connection. Comes on and drops. Something is very wrong. A few in the complex have the same issue. Few have reported that Vox is also down together with MWeb in this area

Hi.

Please drop me a PM with your Bnumber or email address.

Openserve does not notify us of Network Faults. We have to check the status of the Bnumber to see if it is linked to any network fault and if it is a wide spread outage, our NOC team will liaise with them for updates.

Thanks. For intermittent connection Openserve will provide us with a test account that is valid for up to 24 hours. Is it at specific times or it has been like that all day?

i dont know much about who the account holder is where we are on holiday, but its frogfoot / afrihost and its hectic slow,

based on the tracert @Afrigirl , does this look to be frogfoot related? ( Just trying to help them here :) )
