Getting intermittent loss of DNS resolution and internet yesterday and today. Lasts 30 seconds or so then comes right, but its super irritating trying to work.
I'm using 9.9.9.9 and 1.1.1.1 and don't get timeouts or slow browing, just YT starts buffering for no reason which turning warp on fixes it.

Anybody in Durban YT buffering? WARP fixes it.

Hi.

We are noticing degraded services for KZN and our Google caches are struggling with ingress.
It is an NLD outage between JHB <>DUR; it is being logged with our upstream provider.

Thanks Afrigirl, even having images and other stuff not load here, guessing its related then.

I don't see the Vuma outage listed on the Afrihost networks status and the last time this happened it took a week before it was fixed.

Morning.

The Fourways POP is not affected by the outage.
It looks like an isolated fault and has been moved to the maintenance team.

@Afrigirl Openserve line died in George a few moments ago - not seeing anything on the status page just yet. Thought I'll let you guys know
Hi.

Openserve does not send us Network incident reports; we have to log in to get confirmation of an outage.
What are you seeing from the ONT?

Is there an issue in PE? Also cut out for a few minutes then came back on but running at half download and upload speeds. On Openserve Fibre 200/200

Is Afrihost experiencing issues? I have 3 x Openserve Fibre lines experiencing packet loss and intermittent connectivity since around 08:10 this morning. One line in JHB, another in DBN and another in CPT. They all have NAT-ted public static IP addresses. A second line in JHB, also Afrihost/Openserve, is also experiencing the same issue. They don't have a static IP Address.

All 3 sites (JHB, DBN, CPT) also use Afrihost/MTN Fixed LTE for backup, and MTN is also experiencing at outage right now.

Not sure if the 2 outages are related, but the MTN one seems to have started about 1-2 hours earlier according to Downdetector.

Good morning.

There are no known issues; we will need tests showing the packet loss to check if the issue is with us or if we need to log it with Openserve.

Heya!

More just a question to see if anyone else is experiencing this to see if it's a local network issue, or a wider problem.

But I'm been really struggling with latency and packet loss to local gaming services the past two weeks. Specifically Call of Duty and Fortnite. I'm on an Openserve 50/25 Fibre line, my speeds are consistently hovering round 45Mbps.

But in-game, I'm seeing extreme variations in latency, with CoD especially, I'll be at 25ms one second, then 180ms the next. I know the CoD servers are local, so it should be stable.
