Yes it will be a /56
Once things are sorted and Openserve clients terminate on our BNG's it will be L2TP which means we can properly setup stuff like static IPs and possibly static v6 in the future.
Currently, we are still on IPC Offload, which does not have these options. It's the legacy system where you connect to the Openserve NAS.
Whats interesting is the Openserve one between PE <> CPT hardly ever goes down not sure how the one is affected so much more than the other.

@AfriNatic
How are you doing with the resolution of these issues? And do you have any idea when you are going to try the migration again?
The Metro NLD is via Liquid, and their backup NLD is via JHB. Perhaps commercials with Openserve are not viable to use the Openserve NLD.
Thank you. It has been reported.
Morning.I have Cell C as a service provider with a 500 / 200 package. In the evenings I get horrible upload speeds. How can I move to Afrihost without having too much interruptions? I pay monthly. I am on Vumatel.View attachment 1823224
Vuma tested the line and it is fine on their side. Can you please explain the steps to move to Afrihost from Cell CMorning.
Unfortunately, there will be downtime. When your previous ISP fully releases the line, activating our order with Vumatel may take up to 72 hours.
Was a fault logged with Vumatel for the current issue you are experiencing?
Vuma requires a 30-day calendar notice from an ISP; Cell C might have their own policy around the cancellation notice.Vuma tested the line and it is fine on their side. Can you please explain the steps to move to Afrihost from Cell C
The repairs are done and Vumatel is monitoring.Looks like Protea Heights Brackenfell, Vumatel, is experiencing an extended fibre outage. Ours has been dead since about 2pm, similar reports on ESP.
Any chance there is an outage in Plattekloof Glen on Vuma? ONT shows green but I get no IP address over DHCP, not on my router nor on my laptop if I connect it directly.The repairs are done and Vumatel is monitoring.
