I will re-instate.......I see my complaints over afrihost gets deleted ?? WTF!!!
No I did not use any vulgar language, I tried to edit some of the details and the post miraculously was gone. it is a possibility it was a MYBB issue. who knows. What did the messages say? Only reason I could think of them being deleted is cause of vulgar language or threats
Hi.I will re-instate.......
I cant believe that Afrihost has won so many awards, I am not sure how many companies actually host websites with them.
We have a so called "Fully Managed Service" 2 weeks ago we get an over bandwidth usage report that 15GB of data has been used. Our website is a static website consisting of only 40MB of data. do you think they can investigate this issue properly? besides that 4 weeks ago they deleted the server. and took 3 days to get them to restore it.
If all 40MB needed to be downloaded each time by a visitor, it would take 375 visits to hit the cap, that isn't very difficult to hit, can you not see how many people visited? Create the new thread as @Afrigirl suggested, she should be able to assist youI will re-instate.......

we dont monitor or manage the website at all as it was purchased around 2010 or before as a fully managed service, we do upload updates now and then like a PDF newsletter and that it, we dont have engineers managing the site as it should be "fully managed" but I am wondering if the wording is misleading and should mean "Fully Managed by the client"If all 40MB needed to be downloaded each time by a visitor, it would take 375 visits to hit the cap, that isn't very difficult to hit, can you not see how many people visited? Even Google analytics shows normal usage, So I would thing they have some kind of security issue. as mentioned it is a static website with 40MB of content. however they carry on like its someone else's issue! If all 40MB needed to be downloaded each time by a visitor, it would take 375 visits to hit the cap, that isn't very difficult to hit, can you not see how many people visited? I gave up on their last pathetic response. Just wanted to Highlight it, in case anyone else has weird issues as they do not appear as they seem. We can leave this as it is.Can you create the other thread in the afrihost forum, cause this does seem weird
I need a public IP again.Hi.
Please create a new thread for hosting under the Afrihost Support Forum.
I am trying to manage the clients who will need public IPs after today's outage. We can create a new thread, and I will attend to it.
I Gave up, so will not make a new post. Just wanted to make a comment that is all! I just need to convince management that we can host elsewhere. If you do a search I am sure you will find things! Otherwise I do not even want to pursue this until things really fall apart and get true "Managed Services"Hi.

Surely they maintain a list of allocted MAC addresses.. Don't tell me we have to inform the Afrihost rep here individually to restore public IPsWould also like to know how to get public IP back after the outage
