Yeah, also had vuma trenched before with no issues, now have metrofibre also with no issues.
 
I'm on @Frogfoot Fibre and over the last few years they have definitely stabilised and increased reliability.
From where they where 5 years ago to now is night and day, can't complain to much, few hiccups but no more than ADSL days and far fewer than the times I've used Rain.

I think as the FNOs have matured they are starting to get in to the swing of things, also think when there was the rapid deployment of dozens of new FNOs they weren't all built the same, followed by the rapid consolidation they was a bit if mess clean up that followed, leading to balls been dropped.

Thanks, guys, I appreciate your vote of confidence, but still, not totally convinvced. Probably going to be a few months before they are done, and ready to light the fiber up.

Would like to go with Afrihost, as they where good to me, when we still had ADSL available in the area. Will monitor the situation and see what develops.

They seem to be more stable in certain areas and unstable in others.

I hear all the time from people in Sunningdale Cape Town how horrible their internet is and almost weekly they have issues. My gym is also on Frogfoot and i can often see how horrible the connection is...

Openserve are less than 300 meters away and have been for many, many years, Frogfoot, are the only ones that are prepared to bridge that gap now, and I have little or no expectation that anyone else will.

So when they done, my options will be Frogfoot Fiber, or RAIN 5G. At least I will then have a second option.

Would rather that Openserve where prepared to go the extra 300 meters. Such is life.
 
Hmm, just getting told by sites that my IP is blocked. I've never noticed being under 104 IP before:

Isn't that a cloudflare IP? You sure you aren't using a proxy?

Do you have WARP installed and set to run on startup? Looks like it's active judging by the IP address.

Hmm good catching, didn't spot it running in the back! Let me test with it out.... yes! Working eventually, man I couldn't even log into twitter or anywhere, was just kicking me out all over. Thanks guys.
 
Openserve fibre PE not working.
Anyone else experiencing issues or just me? Restarted ont and fibre router but its still off.
 
I am in Cape Town. Reading the thread it seems its quite common.
Tried out Warp and boom, no issue.
