I bet you his fiber came right thirty minutes ago as mine did then.

I'm guessing your engineer who knows whats going on, arrived at work early as engineers often do and in the first five minutes realized what went wrong and fixed it :p

@AfriNatic You guys ever resolve that DBN Google/YT cache server maxxing, or you okes still fighting with Google to get it upgraded?
Hi.
The poor experience was caused by an issue on the DUR<> JHB NLD. Our Durban caches were briefly unable to receive content from Johannesburg, which meant some users were served directly from Johannesburg instead. During this period, the NLD experienced performance issues, leading to packet loss and buffering.

This isn't a new thing. It's been going on for months.

were the performance issues a result of the load from DUR users connecting to JHB, or coincidental?

Anyone else go down just after midnight? :X3:

Our internet stopped working ±5 minutes after midnight. I have logged a ticket via the Client Zone. It's been down over 40 minutes now, with no change.

Openserve Web Connect, Aerial Fibre. Riverhorse, Durban.

Update (1:05AM)

Internet started working again :notworthy:

Hello. Any known outages in Hilton, KZN metro fibre? Down for about an hour now.

Nokia ONT (?) G010GQ. Had only Power light on earlier. I unplugged it and turned it back on, now with Power light on, PON on, LAN flickering

Router (Huawei WS5200) has light on. Router interface says WAN port connected then no internet and back again. No connection with either state though.

Traceroutes around 1h ago had random timeouts and couldn’t reach final hop. Now there’s no route at all.

Hi.
There are no known outages with MFN.
On which account is the MFN line?

The ticket was submitted successfully

The ticket number is 11AMK170126

@Afrigirl why no response from OS?

We are still waiting for feedback from Openserve. They have logged a ticket with their vendor Nokia to see why certain L2TP LAC tunnels drop once we convert our realms to the L2TP option.

As for our new BNG's we have a few tickets open with the vendor to iron out some minor bugs and they are working on a release for us.

Currently I'm running my Metro Fibre 1Gbps line on the new BNG on PPPoE to see how it goes. So far been pretty stable even on nat v4 and v6 /56 prefix
@AfriNatic do you have any updates here? When can we see /56 on openserv fibre? When will we see a static Prefix option?

Hi.
We don’t have an ETA at this time, but our infrastructure work is progressing and is expected to be completed in the first quarter.

Anyone else on frogfoot in Stellenbosch experiencing issues?

The service and broadband light on my ONT is off. :|
