Both systems run windows, but the other is an imac and mine is a pc lol. I tried reinstalling origin on my system so hopefully that might fix it but i dont know.

My speeds seem pretty normal. Wife and kid are watching Netflix in the lounge and I am watching Season 4 of the Man in High Castle on laptop. Pretty much max speed.
Don't know if asked already, but can you get a static ip on Pure Fibre?
Strange, any penalties involved if moving to Axxess? It's been asked before I think and Afriman said no. I find this strange because Axxess has it for a R35 monthly fee you get a static ip.

They are pretty much equal at this point when it comes to connection, pricing and hopefully support (from what I can see Afrihost support is pretty good lately). I forgot to test international performance but that will be unfair because of CISP running a TCP accelerator. How is Afrihost compared to CISP. You have a 200Mbps line on both right.

@AfriMan are you guys having peering or congestion issues on certain links tonight? Look at how the ping on my last 2 hops suddenly increases (they are normally both on around 12ms)

Between 169.1.21.201 and 196.10.140.198 something is going wrong.
Also look at some of the middle hops are extremely bad here on a traceroute to JHB:

Also notice how the speedtest to Telkom SAIX server in CPT was perfect:
And are horrible to all other servers (all to Speedtest servers in Cape Town):
That latency and download is bad compared to normal
And here is a speedtest to a JHB server:
And a speedtest to your JHB speedtest server:
All tests were via a gigabit ethernet connection directly connected to the router and I'm on Frogfoot 100/100mbps in PE.
I had this exact same issue last Sunday during peak hours

Not a afrihost fan , but this time could be frogfoot related@AfriMan are you guys having peering or congestion issues on certain links tonight? Look at how the ping on my last 2 hops suddenly increases (they are normally both on around 12ms)

Hmm then could be wrong about frogfoot the culpritAs soon as the congested peak time period is done speedtests to these servers are normal and traceroutes are normal again:

My previous tests show that this couldn't have been a frogfoot congestion problem again as I always got full speed and the normal latency when testing to the SAIX Cape Town speedtest server?
