Yeah I see it shows Colo as JNB. I don't know why because it should show CPT. Friend @Yuu had it set up and his show DUR for Durban as he is close to Durban.
What ISP do you use? Afrihost? Maybe Afrihost is not announcing prefixes in CPT.

With warp off do a trace route to 1.1.1.1 and see if you being announced in JHB, CPT gets re routed to JHB and then it often tends to stay on JHB... Well on my ISP it does...

Yes definitely a warp issue because warp plus is using Cloudflare Argo which is pretty good. Very strange.

I'm having pretty bad connection, seems like latency possibly but also just time outs. On a traceroute I come across an IP 10.189.30.10 on the 6th hop, previous to that is a telkom-ipnet.co.za IP. Tried to find who the 10.189.30.10 belonged to buy says private ip.... what is going on here?
Doing a tracert to twitter.com the ip changes to 10.189.30.2 currently.
Get the following after running through IP tracker:
Reserved IP Addresses for private internet use

Okay, so its going through a reputable routing and not someones backroom? Or is it hard to tell? Using pure fibre here. Thanks for coming back so fast on this. Appreciated.
haha thanks man.... yeah just a little interested, always have to be careful, especially when doing banking etc. you want to make sure your traffic is going in the right direction and not via some chopshop. Hopefully Afriman can fill us in. Hopefully its not just me, perhaps someone else can do a tracert on twitter.com and see if the IP also appears in their hops as well. Perhaps its a form of system to assist with the DDOS attacks, I don't know but it just raised some questions when I couldn't link a reputable name to it. Don't think I've noticed it before... not that I do tracert every time I sit down

If you see that in a traceroute you wont know the real ip. Thats usually internally used in MPLS networks and if there is no public ip for that interface when going over a MPLS route, then that is what shows up. So you can't really look it up yourself, but it is probably still on a Telkom router.

day 5 of no connection. @AfriMan is never online despite asking me to stick to comms via the mybb forum.
I called Frogfoot today myself and they guy provisioned the line for AH over the phone for me, the AH router still says unable to obtain IP from DHCP server. Called AH support they said hard reset the router and try again - I did it, no change. WA support tells me to "open google and search for activate.afrihost.com and press enter" after I tried to explain that if I don't get a DHCP IP address via the router (or via plugging in directly to the ONT) then no webpage will load, when I asked for someone more technical she ended the WA chat.
Who's meant to help with this exactly? How many days of being passed around amongst people who don't have the knowledge to help before this issue can be resolved?
