It's really hard to speculate without more info. It might have been a freak incident that went down the coast - Gabon and Congo are right next to each other.

I see another cable was broken a couple days ago by a ship anchor on east coast, Yemen is out as well as Sudan, Ethiopia etc. Hectic.
 
I can now confirm that Cloudflare's Warp+ does indeed make internet usable again on Afrihost.

Still waiting for the Ebay seller to replace the non-working NordVPN credentials he sent me. But I do have Warp+ working and the internet is fine for work now.

What sort of speeds do you get with Nord, relative to your regular speeds of course? My download is good but Warp+ presents useless upload speeds. <5Mbps usually.

Wait I’m confused

why are you purchasing off eBay? Having a look I see they are selling a yearly subscription for R58.Nord charges more than that for monthly. How is that possible?

This sounds super dodge. R72/R52 for a twelve month license. That's cheaper than their 1 month license.

Are you downloading the setup files from Nord or some other link as well?
 
Guys, am I the only one having this issue or is something wrong?

I haven't been able to play online games since Thursday night (at all), and sites like Twitch.tv are terribly slow and can't stream at all there.

Is there something I can do on my side to improve this? Pretoria East 10mb pure fibre.

you need a vpn.
nordvpn is what i'm using, using dodgy ebay license. i would be using warp free/warp+, but my os isn't compatible on the mac, works on pc, try the 1.1.1.1 app on your phone.

Thanks for the info. I'm a noob with this though, is there some kind of guide on YT to show me how to do this? Or is it pretty straight forward? Thing is, I'm looking for a free way out here, don't want to purchase anything :)

I have used WTFAST for my gaming and it works perfectly with normal ping.

Both cables connecting us to the UK have breaks at the moment. They're working on repairing them but not ETR.
