I've discovered that Windscribe is substantially faster if you don't use the desktop app but rather the browser extension. Strange.

Seems I'll have to go VPN again... :(

You don't have to get too upset. Will only cost you $2 if you go to Windscribe.com, create a free account, select Build a Plan from the pricing page, add only the SA location ($1) and unlimited data ($1), checkout and then just install the browser extension and whatever apps you need.

all on vpn's.
Possibly... but you don't make a big hoo-haa about having purchased additional bandwidth , etc, etc and then stick your head in the sand when there are issues again. You provide feedback... whatever that feedback is. This is the last on their status page,.... it was already an issue by that time

At present there have been no significant changes, and our network engineers are monitoring closely. They will continue to test and optimise through the night for best experience.

I'm well aware of all the options :) Am using Warp, which is free btw... but that's not the point

I was using Warp+ before Windscribe. Performance was inconsistent on PC and broken most of the time on Android for me, so I gave up on it. If it's working well for you that's cool though.

cool, gonna give windscribe a go because nordvpn is better but not great, also resorting to 480p on kodi.

Whichever streaming service you are connecting to.

I was using Kodi and Exodus with real debrid but that streaming was unwatchable
the trace doesn't show up anything tho, but the test to do is a single threaded speedtest to london and if that is kuk then vpn @ SD 480p on kodi.

going to give windscribe a go to see if it can handle 720p

I found Windscribe's latency was pretty damn high to Europe - I didn't test much beyond that.
