Hi @AfriGuy , can you please take a look at the following.

This screenshot is from my connection with you guys. 100meg on Frogfoot. Trace to Diablo 3 servers in the EU.

And then this is the same thing from work on a Vodacom connection.

Hopefully you can explain the 100ms+ difference because support isn't even getting back to me. This wasn't always the case but has been this high since SAT3/WACS went offline in February or so.
I dont even bother with D3 on uncapped, its just a joke. I lost a good HC character due to the insane lag spikes.
"Pure fibre" is a joke, Im on 100mb Openserve and with a Vox capped account its perfect, with the Afrihost uncapped I have to sit and wait for youtube videos to buffer.

I'm frogfoot's network. There aren't capped options.

This is my "Pure Fibre" experience on 100Mbps MFN. Going on 6+ weeks now and they tell me it could be my browser :/

My ms to wow and D3 has also been really high for sometime now like 270ms+. Used to get around 170ms. But when I used a vpn it goes back to normal.

Its happening again, really frustrating.

Been struggling with AH Fibre Internet today (Metrofibre).

The Line speed is really great, when it works, runs around 35MB upload and download with 5ms ping.

Issue is that the line is not consistently and reliably functional . There are regular packet loss and often have to "Wait" for a website/page to refresh or load, especially in the "Live" apps such as Teams, Webex and Zoom. Generally the buffered apps/services such as video and audio work fine.

Really very disappointed with the "Fibre" experience which theoretically is meant to be far superior in all aspects not just the speed but reliability and consistency.

Ping statistics for 8.8.8.8:
Packets: Sent = 21307, Received = 19387, Lost = 1920 (9% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 3ms, Maximum = 213ms, Average = 6ms

By 15h35 - Nobody is attending to this matter or contacting me.

I spend most of my day in online meetings where voice consistency and prioritisation is critical. I run continuous ping to both

- 8.8.8.8 and
- www.afrihost.com

When incoming voice is interrupted during these online calls, I note that there is substantial increased ping response time and also a number of packet loss "Request Timed Out"

This is really unacceptable and very poor service delivery by AH. I am forced to keep going back to my old Telkom ADSL (10MB) which does not have this issue at all.

The problem I have is that AH has now essentially Locked me into a 6 month agreement, else I must pay R1000 for the supplied Modem, which may even be part of the problem.

Get the issue sorted out once and for all. Im tired of issues. I see there are other clients complaining of similar issues on My Broadband.

I would like to know what the CEO - Gian ; Director - Angus and Technical Direcor - Brendan have to say about this.

Placed my fibre order 2 weeks ago. Still waiting for SADV to contact me. Afrihost support wait is 42 minutes - not going there. @AfriNatic can you please contact me urgently.
Hi waynehooper, I'm really sorry for only getting back to you now. Do you mind dropping me a PM so that I can follow up on this for you?

We are aware of an issue with Netflix where it is detecting out IPs as being a proxy or VPN. We are investigating why Netflix is detecting our IP ranges as that being from a VPN. More updates to follow!

Don't know if this has any relevance, but I am using windscribe VPN and it sometimes allocates me an Afrihost IP address.

I believe WindScribe has a hosting package with us on which they run on of their VPN servers. I don't think it is related though. The range that seems to be affected by the VPN or Proxy error in Netflix is the 165. and 102. range.

I'm on the 165.73 range. It wasn't working earlier. Seems to be working now.

So at the time of the original post I had queried this with a week prior with support. Writing this reply makes it two weeks and only this morning I got some crappy response asking for a speedtest. I've cancelled effective end of this month. You guys may now continue ignoring my query @Afrihost-Gian .

Hey @$m@Rt@$$
I'm sorry that you're having some trouble and it's dated back that long. Your Frogfoot connection IP range looks a lot like our airmobile connection?
When you are gaming are you using a LAN cable or is it over WiFi? Please try the trace route via LAN cable so we can check what the route cause of the problem is.
Thanks so much & I hope we can solve it before your cancellation goes through at the end of the month.

I'm definitely using LAN and I've also seen all the speedtest sites reporting Airmobile as my ISP. I have no idea why that would be. I'll PM you my account details and you can check my IP history.
