DNS responses all spiked (returned to normal shortly after)

I am fed with Afrihost.

Problem : Internet stops working intermittently.

Exclamation mark next to wifi logo on phone. Phone says "wifi connected without internet connection"

"please login" . Click login >>Router unable to detect connection.

Called Afrihost last week & was told this is a Dns issue.

I was told the issue is now sorted out but I am still experiencing constant disconnects/ internet not working.

Basically this is an Afrihost issue, as everyone close to me doesn't have this issue & is on the same fibre network.

I was with Afrihost previously & this constantly happened. I was never explained why until recently.

I signed up with Afrihost at the beginning of February again.

What is the clawback period?

I don't want to deal with this anymore & want to move to another ISP.

I'm sorry you are having such a poor experience with us.

We are seeing degraded performance at peak times for certain clients in CPT.

I would like to investigate the issues you are experiencing. Please send me your clientzone email address via a pm.

I do not post often but I felt the urge to chip in here as I feel your pain buddy.
Are you by any chance using Afrihosts freebie Dlink 825? If so, thats almost definitely the culprit (there's a hardware design flaw on this model).
Do yourself a favour take your Dlink outside right now, find yourself a brick, and then pulverise that piece of sh*t into a thousand pieces. I can't promise this will actually help with your wifi disconnect issues but I guarantee it will help with venting the pent up frustrations

What is the priority on the port upgrade on the NAP that is currently overloaded in the evenings? Will you be able to get some kind of ETA?

Morning,

While we are still waiting for the much needed upgrades we have migrated a large number of clients to a second route that will resolve the issue going forward.

Please let me know if they issue happens again tonight but we are confident it would not be an issue anymore.

I am currently on 100/50 OS, once price adjustments are actioned I want to downgrade to what the new 50/25 will be, when is the best time to send my downgrade request to pay the new rate?

You can submit your downgrade anytime before the 22nd of this month for it to be scheduled the end of the month. :)

May I ask what the price adjustments are. They won't apply to me but I'm just curious. Are they increasing or decreasing?

Nice e-mail from Gian about the upgrades. I will be upgraded to 200/100 sometime next month, no charge. Well done guys. :) :thumbsup:
