Afrihost - Pure Fibre Feedback Thread

I can't speak for other networks and I don't know how their network is rolled out.

We have picked up that on our vlans there has been outages that prevent DHCP. If this was a wider network issue on the Afrihost network all our clients would have issues but it's only MFN and in the Pretoria and Centurion area.

We are working with MFN to find a fix that is permanent and reliable.
Thanks

Morning,

You can see it's around 170 once it drops in the UK.

Can you also try lon.hosted.co.za or uk.hosted.co.za to test latency to the UK.

Over 260ms from Centurion to uk.hosted.co.za, directly tested off the gateway

Hey @AfriNatic,

Looks like the vuma downgrade killed off our line again (as it did with the upgrade). What is the correct thing to mention to the support agent to attempt that IP reset :)

Let me speak to our Network engineer. Looks like traffic is currently routed via France over EASSy.

having the same issue, post downgrade, ip on ONT WAN does not match the one I see on my clientzone portal

Please map your new IP to your account via this link.

clientzone.afrihost.com/fibre-activate

Vumatel attach IP addresses to an order. Each service change is an order and that triggers a new IP to be allocated. Our system should trigger the afrihost fibre activate page but sometimes it does not.

Mine dropped just now aswell, but seemed to recover after router reboot. IP is different now though.
