And the packet loss is back.
Seems to be only to Joburg, not in Durban

YouTube issues back?
Seems like General Packet loss... I'm in JHB
Hi,
The Youtube issues are still not resolved.
Google given us an ETA of the 20th of April which have come and gone but the capacity issues seem to remain.
I've had issues in the cape that started around 2 months ago on vuma using afrihost. I had a 1Gbps line and I would not get more than 600Mbps on a good day. I also experienced YouTube streaming issues and high latency to certain networks I connect to for work and they got worse after 5pm. Around 10/11pm things you'll fly again.
The above felt like a deja vu to me, i.e good old ADSL congestion days with afrihost. Long story short, I moved to openserve and vox as I just wasn't in the mood for troubleshooting this or that etc. Haven't had an issue since (touch wood). It could've also been vuma in my area and not afrihost.
That said, @AfriNatic seems to be bending his back backwards on this forum to assist users. Without him afrihost would not be the same.
Still incredible amount of packet loss for me and international sites are atrocious at peak times (which honestly is anything between 6PM onwards). There was an issue on the Fibre Outage Informations page about International Slow down on ALL Fibre providers, but that notification disappeared and not sure about that particular outcome.
It seems not to be resolved and started occurring toward the end of March.
For the Google issue:
On the communications page, your team needs to be a lot more verbose on the technicalities about the issue and cannot be vague (Your audience, are not 5 year olds who do not understand technical issues). The date you mention below is NOT on that page at all. Whomever is the communications director at AH needs to upgrade how they communicate to stakeholders (AKA subscribers) or leave AH entirely for failure to perform their actual given task.
Hi,
The international latency issue was a capacity issue at LINX. The upgrades have been completed and then the vendor noticed intermittent port drops. This has been resolved but will follow up with our Noc team if they are aware of any new issues.
Can you send a MTR through showing the loss?
Every single night it's the same. Over and over again. DL Speeds being atrocious. What ever you lot implemented clearly hasn't worked, with multiple people in this thread mentioning that same.
Yeah seems to be resolved for me. Today was fine.Hi,
Sorry for the late reply.
We have noted some loss on Friday and Saturday but this should now be resolved. Apologies for the issues.

Also affected here. Started off as a partial outage (some sites still worked), then everything stopped. Vodacom is also currently intermittent.
Any update from Frogfoot? It's been 5 hours now.
