Afrihost - Pure Fibre Feedback Thread

Can one of the afrihost support guys assist me here on some feedback? Whatsapp support hasn't been able to assist.

there has to be something wrong i have send DM to Afrifella as request and for more then two days no response.
i have 100MB openserv. just done a speed test no vpn and only one device connected.

Does anyone know where the following IP address is linked to?

74.125.245.209

Get major ping spikes/packet loss, etc while gaming. This IP shows up on MTR with hectic packet loss.
 
I seem to have issues loading images and videos on Twitter. The actual tweets load pretty instant on my timeline, but profile pics and media lag behind a few seconds before it loads. Anybody else got this issue?
 
In general, how is Frogfoot performance and stability in the Pta area ? It's one thing to go for the faster package, but if they\re not performing then I"ll rather stay with the slower, but trusted, Openserve line
 
@Luke7777, I Live in a commune in PTA East area and we have both Frogfoot and Openserve. The Frogfoot is with Vodacom and gives errors constantly like it disconnects every other hour, though I solely believe it is Vodacom's faulty router, because when I reboot the router everything is fine again, other than the router problem with Frogfoot they are quite good, get Line speed most of the time.

Though I must say in terms of stability, Openserve is miles better than Frogfoot like, everything just felt more smooth with the Openserve line.

The Landlords contract ends November with Vodacom, then I might get him to switch to Cool Ideas/ Afrihost /Websquad (If they get Frogfoot) because at the moment I pay for the Openserve line myself as I can't handle a line that disconnects the whole time.

I see you opted for the 500mbps package so let me know how it goes.
 
I am on Frogfoot in pretoria east and i have not had any problems with it. I also had 1000 mg in the promo months and had max line speed. Running 200/200 now and i have no problems.

I also have not had any problems with any disconnects.

Speed test with streams running atm.

Yeah like I said, I think it is most likely Vodacom's fault and they don't really care to fix it at all

Late reply but that IP is a google IP.
 
@Jovs has your FF issue been resolved? AH support responded to my ticket today saying they see it's connected so they infer all is ok now. I tried to switch back to DHCP and nothing's changed, line is also still @ 10MB and not the free upgrade to 20MB. Responded now to tell them it is not ok, still no response from DHCP server unless I use a static IP.

@AfriFella @AfriGuy are there any competent staff left with AH? If @Jovs didnt give me the idea to set a static IP my FF line would be down since 2 April, and still down today.
