We were down for almost 2 hours, an outage was reported. But we've been back up for 40 minutes now without incident. But have received no explanation as to what happened or why from Octotel.

I haven't seen the notice at all.
If it goes down again please let me know so I can log it and see if there is any notices regarding the outage.

Hi,
All complete or are there still some servers down?Please note @ Afrihost Hosting clients.
We are currently experiencing a major outage in Gallo Manor Datacentre due to an overheating issue. Our server admins and MTN techs are at the data centre working on the issue.
Apologies for the intermittent hosting issues experienced.
The outage is affecting our ticketing system. If you need urgent assistance please do log a call back for one of our support staff to give you a call or send me a dm for me to assist.
EDIT: This issue has been resolved last night.There are still some servers that are down due to various issues but our Server Admin team is working on the issue at the data centre.

@AfriNatic If I choose to use my own router when I place my order, is the free ax3 forfeited forever or can I still claim it at a later stage?

Yes you can. We do not currently limit free routers to clients as long as there is a fibre order with the router.
We might change this if there is abuse but so far people have been playing nice so it's not limited yet.
Looked at the graphs now and they look normal. Not seeing any issues.

I wonder why my lon.hosted.co.za is 195ms but my uk.hosted.co.za is 175ms.
Hi,
We use a mix of Openserve and Cogent. We prefer cogent egress from JHB but we can't always control the return path so it depends on other networks and their transit agreements which return paths they favour and sometimes that is via France to Durban over Openserve.
